Good timing!

So just as my new group hits 49 and I'm hoping that I'm not hitting some dead spot where I will need to hop all over the place just to find a couple of quests... the midsummer festival begins! This should get the team to 51 pretty easily, perhaps even further depending on the quest lines (they're about one more "honor the flame" quest from 50). I'm going to try to get as much of it done ASAP because that means that the rest of the two-week period, I'll have the buff that gives a 30% chance to do extra fire damage (10 x level). As if I needed an extra 2000+ damage with four fire mages, but whatevah!

As a side note... the past week two different lowbies asked to join my guild. I started my own guild primarily to end the "wanna join our guild" spam. Now that I've got a guild, I have to deal with random people begging to get in? Memo to NütcràckØrŹ: I wouldn't want to be guilded with you under any other circumstance. I definitely do not want you in my personal guild.

Anyone else getting random "is their space in ur giuld" spam?

I get it *constantly* This weekend as I was running around doing dailies on my team I was asked by no less than 5 people if they could app to my guild. I may just create an app to send people to for laughs. Every few days someone will mention in guild chat that some random person is wanting to know how to get invited. So we just send to the thread in our sub forum here and never hear from them again.

I guarantee that they asked so they could pilfer your guild bank. People sometimes forget to set the permissions on the guild tabs so people with names that are very hard to report (notice all the special characters in the name if that is indeed how it was spelled) end up stealing their stuff. They can be hard to track down since they would likely delete the toon right after the theft and those special characters are hard to mimic for most people. Everyone should be very cautious about this sort of scam.

The bottom rank in my guild is 'Stowaway' for just this reason. :p:p

I thought about that, because both characters did have at least one special character in his name. Not long after I set up my guild, I made sure that only the Officer rank had access to anything. Any rank lower than officer can't even get gold for repairs. For a moment, I did consider inviting one of them to see how long it would take for him to ask about the guild bank, but I prefer to spend as little time dealing with distractions as possible, so I just told them no and moved on.

I got whispered from a guy want to know how to get invited to LoB premades. I was busy and just said "can't"

Yea. This might be from AV weekend leveling that Kicksome, David, Roflstomp, Kang, and I were doing. It was fun to watch the QQ and hate turn to love as people realized they actually won AV when we were there. Since I was solo playing in all these matches I got to make comments about the haters without appearing to be with them since most people don't actually check guild tabs.

The only people that really got annoying were people from Kil'Jaeden, but that's likely just a case of envy seeing us day to day other than any rational evaluation of us. I think my favorite is a pally named Angrý that had the balls to claim we were the worst guild on the server. The sad thing is that most of us have more 80s than his entire guild. Glass house and stone throwing...

Being solo, I had the luck of getting into some AVs outside of the group and we were significantly more likely to lose if the boxers weren't there.
