Mixed caster team
Thinking of making a mixed caster team for BGs and arena, not sure what to go with tho.
Only going to run with 4, and Boomkin+Ele are a def must in the group; would like to add a hunter for ranged MS, but not sure how well that works with other casters. A lock for fear and straight-up survivability might be nice.
Boomkin brings Earth and Moon, MOTW, and Cyclone, while Ele shamans brings wrath and tremor totems. Obviously the Hunter wouldn't benefit as much from the caster bonus abilities as another caster would, but I really like the idea of a MS added to my group.
Anyone have a PvP mixed caster team? Thoughts on comp?

I running a mixed PVP team for arena.
I'm currently at 1395 rating and doing OK, will see how it works when I get better gear.
Feels like I'm nuking down teams with equal gear.
I 5 box, my team is:
Holy Pala
Bal Druid
Frost Mage
Ele Shaman
Surv Hunter - he is doing a lot of magic dmg so he benifits from Earth and Moon. As you said the most important thing is that he has aimed shot.
I rly like my setup. Dont know what classes I would get instead.
Maybe get a destuction warlock instead of the mage.

Nice work sthar, sounds like you are off to a pretty good start with an interesting setup.
I'm currently enjoying a mixed melee team in WoTLK, but the team i'm entertaining for Cataclysm is:
Holy Paladin
Shadow Priest
Destruction Lock
Frost Mage
Balance Druid or Elemental Shaman
My focus will likely remain in 5v5 Arenas, but I will definitely be putting plenty of effort into rated BGs as well! With caster teams, I consider the frost mage a key player to the teams survival while the other classes still bring some clutch anti-melee tools ((Ex: Spriest disarm is pretty handy in current game for dealing with brostorm)).
The Paladin could tank and the priest could cover heals for 5man dungeons.

One question.. are you guys playing the healer upfront?
I'm trying to decide on a 5 team for the same purpose.
