Hi all,
so I am filling out some spots in my current realm and the only two classes I have not hit 80 with yet have been my Rogue and my warrior. I am wondering with the warrior how will he be when he hits 80? I have a DK at 80 and really not crazy about him for tanking. How does a warrior compare?
The group I am thinking of running as a possible 3 man melee team are a rogue, warrior and ret pally.
Any thoughts? This is just to level them to 80, not sure after that :)

I use a warrior tank for my current team (War+Ret+Enhance+DK+Rdruid) and in the past i've tanked with each of the 4 tanking classes within boxed teams. While I think any of them are fine for 5man heroics, my beef with DK tanks is that diseases are a bad mechanic on content which you significantly out-gear. This is because mobs die before diseases can even tick in many cases...or may not even be applied at all. Thus, i've always prefered to have my DK roll a diseaseless blood/unholy spec (with deathrune mastery I can spam this sequence: 2x DS->2x HS->6x HS)) which is great DPS ((around 5-6k dps instance average in my gear)) but deals no real AoE threat outside of the HS cleaves.
Reguarding the warrior tank, sense the 3.3.3 changes to revenge and the improved revenge talent, i've been a huge fan of unrelenting assult + prot build for 5man tanking with a warrior, even considering the revenge proc hotfix((revenge now only procs once per dodge/block/parry)). Extremly high DPS output, especially on the big pulls, combined with a very simple attack sequence.

Mace or axe spec is the best choice here, i'm simply using a sword because it's all I have at the moment ((I'm going to pickup the S8 1h mace sooner or later)) . Also I prefer a 2.6 speed MH for more rage efficent cleave spam, as well as maximized value from deep wounds and sweeping strikes.
