Been trying to pick my thoughts on making this work in Keyclone to no avail so far. Been having challenges trying to make it work as we have to have a unique key per keymap (and not only hotstrings). I've been basing mine on the original FTL setup for keyclone but like I said, I've been unsuccessful. Anybody ever made it work using a different approach in Keyclone?
If you have FTL working, I'd try to base it off of that.
You need to know who is leading, which the FTL modifiers can tell the other toons.
You then need a movement key, where instead of assisting the active window, the non-active windows do the movement.
That's what I'm trying to do but couldn't get around getting the keymap sorted out..
Basically, I have each toon's strafe keys bound to unique modified keys and then calling those via unique hotstrings:
Right Strafe Keybinding
Toon A - shift-ctrl-e
Toon B - shift-alt-e
Toon C - ctrl-alt-e
Toon D - ctrl-e
Toon E - alt-e
Left Strafe Keybinding
Toon A - shift-ctrl-q
Toon B - shift-alt-q
Toon C - ctrl-alt-q
Toon D - ctrl-q
Toon E - alt-q
Objectives:
1) Toon A leads, B & C moves left, and D & E moves right
2) Toon B leads, A & C moves left, and D & E moves right
3) Toon C leads, B & A moves left, and D & E moves right
4) Toon D leads, B & C moves left, and A & E moves right
5) Toon E leads, B & C moves left, and D & A moves right
I start building keymaps one objective at a time:
1st Objective: (Looks good)
Keymap Toon A:
ADD --> FMBA
Keymap Toon B:
shift-alt-q --> FMBA
Keymap Toon C:
ctrl-alt-q --> FMBA
Keymap Toon D:
ctrl-e --> FMBA
Keymap Toon E:
alt-e --> FMBA
2nd Objective: (Uh-oh)
Keymap Toon A:
shift-ctrl-q --> FMBB
Keymap Toon B:
ADD --> FMBB
Keymap Toon C:
ctrl-alt-q --> FMBB <--------Wall!! Since i already used this in the same keymap - I'm SOL. etc..
Am I missing something here or am I just too wrapped around the whole idea of FTL? Maybe it requires a unique approach in keyclone. Since I'm limited to only 2 keybinds for strafing in wow (afaik), I have this problem. Unless I can avoid using keybinds and script/macro instead (which would borderline if not breach ToS)?? Or maybe just dump KC and switch to IS since it's the weekend anyway.

You cannot modify macros while in combat.
Depending on what the script did, you might or might not be ok.
With IS Boxer, we basically have the program manage groups of toons.
And then use those groups as the target for various movements.
Not sure if KC has a version of this, but if it does I'm not aware of it.
This was one of the reasons I switched from KC to HotkeyNet. I could never figure out a way to have more than one FTL formation set up in keyclone.
The way I did it, if I recall correctly, was like so:
You can leave the in game binds as E and Q, and then any modifier combination of E and Q will still activate work, so long as you don't have that combination used for something else.

Similar to the FTL setup, each leader has a combination associated with them, and you just set that up in the keymaps.
However, since you only can only set up two keybinds in wow, you're limited to two formations, or just one if you want to have keys available for other movement.
With other programs (again, I use HotkeyNet, but I assume the same is available in ISBoxer) you can set up much more than this.
Thanks for the replies guys. I kinda figured as much after playing with it more last weekend. From what I've seen with ISBoxer, there's no limit to the number of formations you can make. I'll try that soon.
The basic idea with IS Boxer, is to run unique (similar) mapped keys for each toon, when they become leader.
The only things that matter, is ending up with only one toon per action target group, on the switches; and having at least one group for each toon that will be moving for the formation.
In my case, with five boxing, I have the other four toons join an ATG each.
Which lets me to any formation, where the active toon does not move, but the other four do.
If you wanted a formation, where all five moved, you'd need an extra ATG and to place the active toon into that one.. not that hard of a modification.
Then its just one mapped key per formation...
My only mapped key for formations is to spread out, NW, NE, SW and SE.
But the principle is the same, use the movement ATG's as the target, and broadcast the desired movement key to each respective target.
The movement keys are then at default settings within wow, for all toons.
