I'd like it, but have not heard anything about it.
Sure boxer abuse it as much as possible.
But its there for attracting new players to the game.
And in Cataclysm, 80th is where the action is.
So I could see it going to 70th quite easily.
I suspect they'll do more re-tuning as they have before. Already BC 60(58)-70(68) is far quicker than it originally was and Azeroth has, if memory serves, been twice re-tuning for faster leveling.
Certainly, my Paladin team is my last. The idea of raising yet another team all the way 1-85 is beyond my patience levels for old content now.
In 2.1 (or whatever the first big patch was, after the release of BC), they reduced the experience per level for 1-60 by 30%, as in you only needed 70% as much.
Ditto for WotLK, a major patch into it, they reduced experience per level for 60 to 70th.
Factor in 19% faster leveling, from shoulder + chest heirloom items, and we only need half the experience for 1st to 70th.
If and when it happens, I am looking at 6 months before they allows the new races to quick level. RAF was almost a year into BC I think, I also see them changing things to 70 at that time. Do hard to get other to do old content.
I just wish RAF was like a service you could just activate for a fee for 30 days... so we dont have to keep creating new accts... But I guess they need to keep selling copies to make vivendi happy...
My current leveling team, I most fervently hope my last (1 Prot + 4 Ret Paladins), is leveling quite nicely even without RAF.
With the dungeon finder available from level 15 onwards, I find myself enjoying the leveling experience again. I hit a zone, do all the kill quests (and any low-level annoying collection quests) and when I run out of those (leaving only the highly annoying collection quests), I go run dungeons for a level or two.
I must admit though, I'm not looking forward to Northrend and it's absolute psychotic penchant for overbearing collection quests, but then RAF wouldn't have helped me by that stage anyway.
