Looking for a guild if membership is relatively open, if not, I'll just see you guys around.
Oh, and if you have to ask "why fire mages?" You just wouldn't understand.

No matter how many times I theorycraft and play with a fire spec... my four mages always end up back as arcane. Kinda disappointing really. Untill you hit someone with 4x 25k instants :)
Allthough I still occasionally play fire in AV. Its fun to spam living bomb on big groups and then ice block and watch them all explode when a bunch of priests mass dispel you and hit multiple living bombs at the same time (explodes when dispelled) muhahaha

For some reason, I saw your subject and thought of this:

Yea, there is very little that is practical about fire. And arcane seems to take that over in the later levels. On the other hand, there is just some level of satisfaction that can only be achieved with fire.
Survivability is awful and I'm sure it will be worse trying to manage 4 players. With one it's a lot easier to float around the edge of a battle. But there will be moment where I'll unleash everything and it will all be worth it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to discourage you from fire (doesn't sound like it would work anyway). I still constantly review the fire tree and think of new fire builds. Right now it comes down to people can live through some of fires big selling points, and the ones they can't live through take too long to set up to be that much fun.
I'm currently gearing another team up but I have a feeling I'll be back to the mages again. Not sure what spec, maybe frost this time. Arcane is still pretty awesome but it's losing it's luster now that people have such amazing gear that I can't 1 shot people anymore :)
