gemming/enchanting advice

Hey all - started picking up my 5x shamans again last night after a long break and forgot how fun it is in BG's ... 5x LB + 5x CL is enough to kill anyone without resilience. If I actually gemmed and enchanted, I think my odds would be better - problem is, I don't know where to start.

I'll be upgrading the blues with the ICC 5man normal gear for now, and probably wont be doing arena's (except for 10 weekly losses), and will focus on BG's (looking forward to rated bg's) ... I'm not sure what I should be gemming and enchanting for ... thx for the advice ...

Gem/enchant up to 75 spell penetration (or 100 for arena). Everything else - spell power.

no resilience? is the amount I get from the furious gear good enough?

yellow: +12 spell +10 res
blue: +12 spell +13 pen

Good enough in that you shouldn't be gemming it. It takes way too many gem slots to get even a decent amount of resilience. I'd take the +20 resil gem at the very most. There's no point in staying alive a second longer if you don't kill anything.
