Divine Storm Question
This seems to be confusing the crap out of me Ok so from what Ive seen it doesnt actually seem to be healing 3 members of my team instead it just heals one. Ive noticed time and time again that if my team is @ half health and I hit Divine Storm the tank gets what seems to be all of the health and its not shared with the rest of the team... Obviously something is wrong... But what how can i check to see whats happening?

I found this on wowhead.com
Divine Storm is a smart heal.
Assuming DS hits your target, the heal effect will look for the lowest health member in your party then heal them. Only if the entire heal is consumed (no overhealing) does it spill over, so most of the time the heal will be hitting precisely one target.
I have to assume that if 4 hit at once, 3 are wasted. This has been a 'feature' of paladin spell mechanics since release.

This is likely how chain heal and similar smart mult-heals work. When you start casting the heal it figures out that chain then and at the end of the cast it does it as planned if it can.
Likely there is a similar effect when you divine storm at the same exact time, the heals are targeting the lowest guy multiple times for each paladin and then ignoring the other needy characters. Even if the first heal overheals. Just because of the latency involved.

Ugh so how do I deal with this? cause round robin DS sounds really lame

If DS is in a click sequence...
You could change the priority on your toons.
So one casts it earlier and another later.
But each is doing the click, which gets you staggered castings of DS.
Without any management on your part.
The toss up for this... we generally build click for maximum damage.
If you move the abilities about, you'll put some lower dps moves ahead of higher dps moves.
So it becomes a juggling game, DS utility vs DPS efficiency.
There will be a balance somewhere.

So if you were me Ualaa what would you do?

interesting, I have never heard of this, or noticed it too much on my team.
I guess that's a good thing, directed "smart" heals would be much better for us than a simple spread over every toon, which would involve a lot of overhealing.
