Watchkeeper Gargolmar Down!! (My First Boss)
Hello All. Now, I know this isn't exciting to most, but considering it's been less than a month since I started MBing I'm pretty stoked. Boosted 4 to 60, granted a 50 priest I had to 60 too. Did enough Outland quests to ensure 4 good pieces of Armor and a Weapon, and then headed off to (via the awesome new LFG/Instance Queue) Ramparts.
Well, after MANY disconnects that didn't allow me past the first big 'left bend', (I think I fixed it with NVIDIA driver update) and 2 near wipes (3 classes with Resurrection type abilities FTW! - "RUN AWAY! works!") I one shot Watchkeeper (who is actually much easier than a few of the trash pulls). :)
The main reason for this post is to encourage others who are just starting out. Keep it up, it's a bunch of fun!
I have a lot to work on, but so far this is a blast!
(Note: I didn't have time this morning to clear ramparts, that's tonight's goal.)
Tools:
GCP, Jamaba, SmartBuff. (Various other Addons too, but those are the main MB ones).
Things to work on:
1 - I need to set up/play with the CC helping capabilities of GCP. Only one time did I use Sheep, a few more would have made life easier.
2 - I need to work with my Disc Priest better (Healing). I have him tossing too many Damage Spells (mind blast, Holy Fire, etc)
3 - Overall the group is doing pretty steady DPS, with few spikes. I like this nice smooth DPS, but I'm sure I can get it a bit higher. Again, tweak tweak tweak.
4 - Clear Ramparts!
Yes, Need to Learn to Pally Tank

I'm 90% sure my biggest need is to learn how to Pally tank. I've tanked a bit with my 80 DK (all Northrend), but never any other instance or class. I have NO issues with threat, but not quite enough gear or Parry yet to mitigate enough damage. I'm sure I'm taking more than I should. That's pretty much why I've decided I need to keep my priest away from DPS right now, and just heal.
Okay - off to the Pally boards!
