Is boosting in UK still a good option? I have 2, maybe 3, toons I want to level to 80. All of them are almost 65. Has anyone done this recently enough to say whether this is a viable means of leveling? I am not in the mood for Howling Fjord or Borean Tundra again atm. If necessary I'll just do Blades Edge, SMV and Netherstorm to 70 but I wanted to get some opinion on this first.

Yeah, but how is UK? It used to be ok but much has changed . . .
I found myself in the situation that I needed to bring 3 toons from 65 up to 68 recently and UK worked very well.
I ran my 80 pally and an 80 resto shammy with my 3 lowbies and found that it was best to kill the first two mobs with everyone, then earth shield the tank, leave the other four near the entrance, and pull the entire forge room and entrance hall in one pull. Then run over to the mobs with my resto shammy and drop a magma totem to help kill and heal as necessary, keeping the 3 lowbies on the entrance ramp. Exp was much faster than leveling in BC.
Leave, reset and repeat (it isn't worth pulling the whole proto-drake room - just much slower exp-wise).
You'll hit the instance limit, but I had plenty of other things to work on while I was waiting on that.

When does the XP rate start dropping off in UK? I have a rogue at 71 I would love to boost at least to 75 (lockpicking) anyone got any tips other than questing ? :P

My team is
Prot Warr 80 full epic
Shaman 79 Green and some blue
Hunter 78 Green and some blue
Priest 69
Warlock 70
To be honest i did'nt get the first boss, is terrible....
In my opinion UK normal is not a good solution for boosting, XP and drop are bad
Maybe as HC will be good for badge farming

Sethekk halls seemed to me to be the best.
I boost from there from level 64, entry level. Dual-specced my 80 pally tank as ret, having about Naxx entry gear level, slightly below. I can clear that place in under 12 minutes, meaning I hit the reset cap. 15% a run at start, 10% a run by the time you're getting close to 70.
You only have to move your guys twice to get all the exp from the place. First they just camp at the instance entry. Secondly they camp in the little alcove, to the right, in the room where the first boss is.
Boosting anywhere is hard, but this seemed to be the easiest to me. Only problem is the mind controllers, though you can usually bring them down fast enough, even with my bad gear, to avoid this. No other main problems, though a non-healing, or cloth class might have trouble with the amount of physical damage they still put out.
