Going From Holy To Prot!

Hi,
I've just moved to Grim Batol with just my 80 paladin to save money and atm she has 2 specs Holy and Prot.
Her Holy is by far the best geared, with almost all gear above ilvl213. Although over the last few weeks while playing my pali solo i've had the urge over and over again to go back to Retri, how should i get the kinda gear to do it?
Should i buy some gear? Should i Run some Hcs as Holy and roll for offspec or should i use some of the retri gear thats still in my bank?

Use whatever you've got in the bank.
Buy gear off the AH. Get the Titansteel 2 hander.
Do pvp to supplement your gear until you can get decent pve gear and instance as holy and hope you get rolls for offspec.

PvP is actually how I started out instancing at lvl 70 on my solo hunter back in the day. Ran till I got a damn good set of armor from PvP honor, then started in Karazan to get some good raid gear. Atleast if you run BGs as Holy, you can rack up on the HPs to spend on an offspec set instead of taking chances rolling against others.
