Quest: To Rule the Skies

I just finished this 5 box, it was far from easy... The team used was the final composition for Team Doublemint.

Aazan - 70th Prot Pally
Bazan - 70th Arcane Mage
Cazan - 70th Arcane Mage
Kitarra - 70th Holy Priest
Gnusmas - 70th Holy Priest (Going to be shadow once I get unlazy and respec)

Gnusmas is Karazhan geared and the rest are zomg they just got 70th undergeared :)...

The fight is to kill 1 dragon and gets it's teeth, I asked nicely, it didn't think being toothless was a good idea...

Fear - Flip my auto follow back on, it strobes every 3 seconds, I'll be increasing this to strobe every 1 second for pvp because without it, picking up feared alts can be painful. Run an outside circle trying to glance at the edge of follow range so as not to put the alts in the range of...

Cone Breath - Pay attention or you hurt BAD and suck up all your healers mana... This is particularly nasty if following a fear, you are spread out bad....

Wing Buffet/Tail Lash - Not sure which it was, but my alts kept getting booted a nice distance, near the edge of a cliff so not exactly safe area... follow the fear pickup rules for this.

The fight overall took about 3-4 minutes, my dps was low because I opted to have both priests healing which makes recovery from the fears easier... spam shield/renew on those who take damage or are low and a pair of greater heals will top off Aazan from as low as 10%, lower if either one crits.

Anyhow, VERY fun fight, bitch when I got an add from the open field which I cleared before the fight but respawned during... Did manage to win on my first try :). 25g each for the effort!

I did this quest on my locks today (with the help of 2 others).

The combination of aoe fear, aoe attacks, and knock backs makes it a rather involved encounter. Luckily, he doesn't hit very hard.

A raid encounter similar to this fight would be crazy though. (onyxia?)

The one thing you forgot to add is the KNOCKBACK.

All of my mages got knocked off the cliff the first time I did this... >.>

Then I proceeded to 2man it down the rest of the way.
(my war + priest can last FOREVER, jsut do shite for dmg)
