Lvl 76 - 80 Question
Hi all,
so yesterday I hit level 76 and I am at Amberpine Lodge. I am now wondering could I skip ahead to another higher level zone, e.g. Scholozar Basin, or how feasible would it be at this point to skip all the collection quests from here on out to 80.
Btw my team consists of 2 Warlocks, 1 hunter and a Deathknight (Unholy just using the pet to help kill stuff).
Any inisght or advice appreciated.

Hate to break it to you, but collection quests are a way of life. You're not going to be skipping them, as many of them lock future quests hubs.
Shozar Basin probably has more than Grizzly Hills.

Lol, not what I wanted to hear :) , oh well then I will just keep ploding forward :)

Put on some nice music and go farm whatever you need :)
I really hate collection quests.

At 77 go and open up the Ebon hold dailies.
It's a chunk of XP - and you get a nice boost if you do the 5 quests in that area (the 3 round ebon hold and 2 more on the island).
Probably worth doing the same with the Argent tournament too.
This should help you speed through the last few levels.

I went from 77 to 80 on all 5 toons just by clearing Icecrown.
If you 5-box all the way through, you get ALL the annoying group quests done at once, and you get a ton of nice high level quest blues to start you off at 80. There's over 140 quests in Icecrown, plus repeatable dailies, so you can do it all there so long as you have flying on all your toons.
The phasing occasionally breaks follow, but just broadcast your "forward" button to all toons briefly and then use your /follow macro again and you're good.

Cool :-)
I do have flying on all toons, that speeded up the whole process from 70 onwards.
I am only 4 boxing so some of the 5 man may not be possible, but really if I was missing a few bars at the end I would not mind a little grind :)

I'll second doing Icecrown as a group.
That way all your toons will be on the same stage as each other, for the fun "phased" content.
I didn't mind the Sholozar Basin quests, even the collection ones.
It's basically the STV animal quests, but in a different zone.
If you can skin, herb or mine on the team, you'll make a ton here in this zone too.
Now that your toons are all 77, you are a real force in the 70-79 PvP bracket.
Queueing for any BG (AV in particular) is steady experience towards 80th.
And the dailies are worth doing as often as possible too.
It's decent gold, and a ton of them are boxing friendly.
Instances are another good option, depending on your group make-up.

Hi again,
thanks for all the advice. I actually just dinged 77 this morning before work lol and I am wondering about moving to Ice Crown, which NPC should I start at? It is so long since I leveled in Icecrown, I cannot remember which quests take you up there?
As far as intances go, I really need to reactivate my 5th account and move either my 80 pally or 80 druid to it, both are dual speced healing and tanking (pally has better tank gear from crafting though)
PvP is not my thing so I doubt I will do any PvP until 80 and then it would be only to get some fast epics to help with PvE.
Thanks again for all the help :)

The airship for your faction should have some quests.
I believe there's an npc in Dalaran (Flight Master area) who will send you there.
That might be a quest, don't really remember.
It is annoying, in that you'll frequently not land on each pass.
But if he has a quest for you, that sends you to the zone.
The basic quest hubs you'll want to open for the dailies are: The Airship and Ebon Hold. I did the Argent Crusade up until you defend an outpost for a bit, which opens up a flightpath I use for dailies.
There are three npc's overlooking Onslaught Harbor, which eventually opens 3 dailies, 2 of which are worth doing.
You could also to the Argent Tournament dailies, although not sure when you can start those.
