I just wanted to share this:
My computer is having serious issues running 5 WoW so I tried running 2 on my computer and 3 on my girlfriend's computer. I wanted to leave no evidence :cool: so I tried running them right off a WD portable HD.
Performance on those clients were great.
I run my 4 slave clients on an external usb WD mybook 500g drive and they run great, granted its at 15fps until they are switched to the main screen which is set to 60fps but I haven't felt a need to get a SSD.
SSD is easily the second best upgrade after RAM.

And then for each item make absolutely sure I am getting the most performance before investigating other options. Even now with my ATI 4850 cards don't push above 60%.
