Multiboxing hate..
While fixing some Macros in Gadgetzan last night I was confronted by a very hostile Blood Elf who told me:
"Grow a dick you multiboxing fag."
I was glad that someone was so upset about multiboxing that they had to use language like that towards me.
I didn't respond and reported him of course. I can't belive some people get that worked up over something that has no affect on them at all.
-
Oh yeah, I get it every other day. Look at some of my previous posts. I actually take screenshots and we laugh about some of the stupid stuff people say to me and about multiboxing.
-
I get it rarely. More often it's people who are positive with a few neutrals thrown in for spice..
-
I get it a lot, I usually screenshot the good ones.
People hate being ignored more than anything. Not ignore list, I mean not even acknowledging them at all.
I don't reply to the tells, I don't add them to my ignore list (they aren't even worth a spot there), and if they like to circle around me or do stupid emotes then I won't even so much as move or cast anything.
-
Usualy get this in WSG ect. mainly because I'm still gearing up i suppose, which seriously handicaps my team, but oh well, I just ignore the hate :P
-
I get this alot from opposite faction after a wg. Now that you can have bout factions on a server, plenty people relog and start flaming with they'r level 1 NE.
-
WSG the most. But then again i am half the group so i kinda understand
-
I actually get multiboxing love in AV now tbh :P
-
I asked a guy who was obviously two boxing if he was multiboxing and he got a little defensive, as if he thought I was about to flame him. So I told him "Awesome! I have a 10 man team I box here too!" Lol, he almost pooped. It's easy to think you are alone and that everyone you meet hates you for boxing.

Reporting rather than rising to the bait is a Good Thing(tm) :)
When I first started boxing in 2007, I used to get HUGE amounts of random hate from people for no apparent reason. I even named my guild after the most common comment (<Reported>).
It's tailed off into complete insignificance now that multiboxing - or at least awareness of it - is pretty much mainstream.
I think I've had one hateful whisper in the past 6 months, and that was from a team-mate in Wintergrasp who just happened to be riding past when I was successfully defending a vehicle factory.
Humans are a funny breed, especially when they have complete anonymity in a game where there are NO consequences for being a dick.
Oh, for a free-for-all PvP server..... ;)
