5x Emerald Drakes - Heroic Occulus

Has anyone tried the 5x Emerald Drake strat recently in Heroic Occulus? I was trying to do it for the Amber Void achievement, but it seems that the little drakes have unlimited range on their arcane damage bolts when Ley-Guardian enrages. Therefore, I can't seem to do the 5x Emerald strat.

BTW, I've also tried the 2x Ruby, 3x Emerald combo for Amber Void, but I still can't seem to make it work. I need more practice I think. So far, I've only been able to do the 5x Bronze strat successfully.

Never mind. Looks like in 3.0.8, they made this change:
You can no longer kite the adds that Ley-Guardian Eregos summons. The adds now have a 300yd range with their arcane barrage spell.

Looks like I'll have to master the 2x Ruby, 3x Emerald strat. Gonna take a lot of practice. =/
