I've done 600+ games with paladins and I think I'm done with them. They are really good at keeping one of my shaman alive, but that's about it. I've noticed the rest drop off and die very quickly from AOEs. They also have no aoe cc, I'd kill for a fear bomb sometimes. Of course may I just had bad paladins. But surprisingly the few games I did with a disc priest, in half the gear of my paladin, we did about the same. Can't imagine a full furious geared disc priest...
The only think I really liked about resto druid (did about 50 games with one) was tranquility. Cyclone was decent but half the time he just cyconed my target with 4 lava bursts in mid travel.
I got a pally atm he is very geared but its the melee that hurt me like ( warrior pally ench shaman rip thru anything. they go straight for the palladin could not image a disc priest :( but we are getting higher slowly
I still stand by my priest 100%. There is no doubt that Priest healing > Pally healing. If you're worried about survivability, he RARELY gets killed so its not really an issue.
Honestly, the most important factor is communication and synergy with your partner. They have to know your playstyle and habits inside and out. Practice Practice Practice.
