Just wondering if the KC servers are down...getting the 'license expired' message.
I'm
a) a retard, and
b) half drunk.

nope... servers are fine. just dropping support for the old versions (pre v1.9).

all updates are free and the transfer takes about a minute (you don't have to wait for me... its email based)
Thanks for the mild heart attack this morning. :) I see keyclone not working so think servers must be down..Then go to keyclone site and they are up so of course I panic.
Updated to the latest greatest version and all is well. :)
btw, would it be possible for you to send an email stating in 3 days your old version x.x won't work so update?

I'm running 1.9i, and i think the servers are overloaded right now, because it's showing me that my license is no good, however when i tell it to transfer the license (thinking it had lost it) it shows the new and old system IDs matching...maybe there is a problem with the keyclone servers after all.
and of course, right after i post 'rechecking' my license shows me an active license. :)
I can't even install the curreny keyclone on my system. All I keep seeing when trying to unzip the files into the same folder as my keyclone already is:
Can't create output file: c:\program files\keyclone\sounds\clickpass_off.wav
edit 1: ok I got past this part now....duh vista Run as Admin..haha...
Now when I enter my e-mail address when attempting to transfer it says there is an error and I should e-mail keyclone -at- solidice.com to resolve the issue. Have found no way around this ATM.
that error happens when you enter an email address that is not associated with a license. did you use another email?
as for the permissions thing... i have considered moving the default folder from the program files area to maybe the root, user docs (i hate putting stuff in user docs) or maybe user public, like blizzard did when they moved their game folder.
thoughts?
Anything that would prevent a million posts that are answered with "Run as Admin" would probably be beneficial. :pQuote:
