[help] making a movie

Hey

i would like to ask what video program you guys are using?

i got a crack of fraps and it works perfect but the video i made 10-20 sec is around 223mb

and i couldnt upload it to youtube.com :(

how do you guys do and what programs do you use ? :)

I use fraps to capture the video, but then you need to convert it using a different program. Microsoft has a free software which is decent called Windows Movie Maker (you might already have it on your PC) that you can use to add titles, effects, audio, and other stuff. When you go to save the video it gives a few compression options that will change the format and reduce the size (and quality) of the movie.

Once you learn movie maker and Sony Vegas is a very very nice mid-level program for doing advanced stuff. easily to learn and operate once you have a basic knowledge and gives more options for compression and supported file extensions

Fraps records footage in realtime but does not compress it, so it's in essence raw footage which make very large file sizes. Once you place it into a movie making program like jsak suggested and render it the file size will be MUCH smaller. My 4 gigs of raw footage turned into about 67 mb to give you an idea.
