Naming Conventions?
I was trying to think of some names for my new shamans and I came up with Shaylâ and Shâyla.
Is there an issue with Guild Invites since the names are so similiar? I cant get the 2nd toon to join my alt guild.
How do you guys come up with names for your 4/5 man teams?

Personally I just switch one letter in the same name. In my case its:
Dzonatan
Dzenatan
Dzunatan
Dzinatan
Dzinatan
Anyway im on Maghteridon EU so /w me on my main and say "hi" if you'll be passing by xD

My shaman are: cirrostratus nimbostratus altocumulus cumulonimbus
My warlocks are: Shouldhave Killedme Whenyouhad Thechance
If you plan to pvp I'd make them very similar and/or hard to say

I'm a D&D geek, in addition to being a WoW geek.
So I usually peruse Gary Gygax's - Book of Names.
Approximately 500,000 names from a variety of cultures.
If your focus is PvE, actual names is usually easier, on you.
If your focus is PvP/Arena, similar names can make it harder on the other team.

I play on a PvP server and have found that the similar names does help, especially with the hydra style play I am trying to use.
To that end
Sýchòóôõösÿs
Sýchòsÿs Sýchósÿs Sýchôsÿs Sýchõsÿs Sýchösÿs
Ashåàáãâwk
Ashåwk Ashàwk Asháwk Ashãwk Ashâwk
Shakmáâãäå
Shakmá Shakmâ Shakmã Shakmä Shakmå
These are names I have come with for different characters over the years.. I do not know if I will actually keep using Sychosys in WoW as it was just my 'Mutlibox Test' group before moving to a PvP server. I am likely to just keep using the names I have been for years so I dont get confused.. Shakma is always my Shaman, Ashawk a druid, etc. One name, neat little characters.
One thing to this though.. It also confuses people of your own Faction. Out of two fairly solid days of playing I have had to explain 3-4 times that I am not a bug on their system seeing me 5 times, the last character in the name is different for each one, hehe.

I like to have identical names except for an A,B,C,D,E variation in it, usually on the first letter. One of my teams is for instance : Aenelle, Benelle, Cenelle, Denelle, Eenelle.
This way it is very easy to know which character to change my PiP to when I need to do it.

For my first few groups, I was doing identical names with the symbols to differentiate, but the symbols piss me off, so I've stopped with that.
I'd just swap out a letter at the beginning or end like someone else mentioned.
Atoon or Toona
Btoon or Toonb
etc...
This will cut down TREMENDOUSLY on confusion and trouble for you.
