Good morning,
Wondering if anybody is aware of any simple macro mods that will allow me to a) have more macros per character and b) have more than 255 chars per macro? (Or maybe you mod writers can tell me that this isnt possible anymore).
As I try to increase the level of sophistication of my macros for my group I often run out of space.
Any help is appreciated, search only brought up some old stuff from 2k7.

I use the BindPad addon which allows you write longer macros and bind them directly to keys. It also allows you to store a lot more macros for your characters. http://www.wowinterface.com/download...itemmacro.html
Currently using SuperDuperMacro which is great.
I made 2 big macros just using click. Basic idea, is put a bunch of stuff in one macro and the rest in another. Use super simple macro to find out the button name of the 2nd macro. Sorry at work, but UI forums people should know. Then at end of 1st macro, put: /click ButtonNameOf2ndMacro
Bam. 1 super long macro, no addon needed (or needs to be updated on patch day).
Now, for more per char. Not sure, I would try to use the 36 you get for the account and then you still have 18 on your char.
You really have more than 54 macros? Holy damn. To me, one /assist takes away the need to put every spell on a macro. Only about 20% of my spells are actually macros, the rest are just buttons and once /assist is done, they just work right. I will admit on my solo shammy, I had 4 totem macros. I had 4 shocks and spells on macros (I put in downranks just for the effect, not the damage, back when downranking worked). And had nature's swiftness and a few healing spells macro'd. It was a lot. After downranking went away and I starting boxing, they pretty much went away.
So /click ButtonName should get you by without an addon. Aslo, there is /script SetBinding to get macros bound to keys (I hope that is right, again at work). I use WowWiki for my info.

Most of my abilities are macroed because theyre generally spam buttons. I roll with 5 different classes in my group, so I dont have a lot of fine control over the specific abilities im casting like I would if I was doing 1 pally 4 shamans, etc. So yes, I have most everything macroed.
My healing spells all fall through.
My main is a druid, so each form has its own macros, etc (I could put these all in 1 if I could make them longer).
I use macaroon mainly for the addon functionality, but you have to use the macaroon buttons for the macros. On the whole it's quite good but I seem to have some problems with bars moving on the screen (only expandable ones) and vehicle buttons not always showing properly.
Same here, because I don't particularly like having to sacrifice my normal hotbars just to get more macro space or to bind more macros to hotkeys.Quote:
