Heroic Farming - It's On!

With the new changes to emblems in 3.2, farming heroics is going to be a VASTLY important thing for folks like me who are in small, casual raiding guilds. Unfortunately I only have 3 toons at level 80. (I've got a few more sitting at 74 that I just haven't leveled up and a bunch at 65ish). Most of the time finding a few guildmates to go with won't be a problem in the evenings, but on my days off work I'd like to do heroics earlier in the day on my own (before most folks are on). Having 4-man'd (while single-boxing) quite a bit of heroic content with guildmates, how viable is it to 3 man (multi-boxing a tank, healer and dps) the easier heroics? I've been running 2 toons at a time, either Tank and Healer or DPS and Healer in some heroics occassionally. (By the way, haven't touched the 74 pallies lately due to their dps issues and been busy with final project and exam in my C++ class but should get back to leveling them soon)

*edit* darn it, I see I logged out Val with her dps gear on.
*edit edit* I do have a 4th 80, my Holy Pally, but she's on the same account as my priest

Don't get me wrong. I like the change but it's bad enough now that I have trouble running my 1-2 instances a day.

Server related?

Yeah I've seen posts complaining about that. Never happened to me on Hydraxis and no one in my guild has ever mentioned it. Are you on an over populated realm?

Remember that you have to wait until the patch is live. Emblems earned now will not convert to the new currency. Also I have read of people 3 manning sladran and moorabi in Gundrak. Hope that helps!

I just sit there and run in and out till it let's me in, usually doesn't take more than about 1 min but it's still annoying.

The instance servers aren't a per realm type deal, it's more likely they get it more because they play during prime time or while wintergrasp is going on. One of the things they have done to try to make WG run smooth with all those people in it is dedicate basically the entire server farm to it while it's up. That's why you get lag when WG is up even if you are in the old world.

With WG being capped at 100 people I doubt that will be a problem any more.

My old server never got above 100 per faction, so I dont see this as a cure-all for server lag when WG is going.

I am on a medium population server, and I see this all the time. Basically, it is impossible to run any instance at peak time. On a week day at 6PM, the running in and out may work after a while, but on a Sunday afternoon, forget it. Quite annoying.

My guildmates and I are all working adults who mostly play during "peak" time after work 4pm EST to about 9pm EST. Those hours are our server's heavy times, when more people are raiding and when WG has more activity. I've also never experienced lag due to Wintergrasp.
