Three boxing in Heroic Ulduar
I just realized, after writing the following post, that it's pretty much a showoff/bragging post. But, whatever, I'll post it anyways. Generally speaking, I only raid on one character. I multibox mostly just for dailies, world PVP, and 5 man heroics. But we have been having some attendance problems in guild lately so I've been asked to pad our DPS numbers a bit, despite my awful gear on Two and Three. I thought tonight I would take a couple screen shots and post them. I linked them all, since they are all 1900X1200, which is kind of big.
First of the night was Flame Leviathan, who, of course, I forgot to take a screen shot of. I remembered at Ignis trash, so I at least got a screen shot of the achievements. That was the last one I needed for my Siege of Ulduar. It's a weird fight to tribox, since it's all vehicles. I basically put One and Two in a demolisher and Three as a gunner in a siege tank. I had the two gunners shooting up in the air, mostly unaimed hoping to get some barrels down. When I needed more pyrite, I had a macro keybound on Two for /tar liquid pyrite, and then I hit the Grab Pyrite button separately, since you can't macro vehicle functions. Also, I hate vehicles.
Up next, we downed Razor. Pretty easy fight to tribox. Just gotta dps a bunch of trash, and then dps a boss. And if you stand on the outside of the circle you almost never get hit by the blue fire that you have to move out of.
And here comes Ignis. Also an easy fight. Just don't leave your /follow on when your main char gets popped in the slag pot or a follower may walk into the burning area and die. Like mine did. >.>
XT is fun. It's a bit challenging, with needing to run out with the various Bombs, but not annoyingly so. And the rooting effect you can get with an earthbind totem plus three magma totems is pretty awesome for mowing down those scrapbots before they can make it past you. Shockthree even got some loot from this boss. Embarrassingly enough, that gave him the Superior achievement. >.> He was still using the totem you get from Venture bay that boosts LvB. Now he has the one from Ulduar that boosts LvB. Shortly though I'll be able to scrap that for the decent one from badges.
We then headed up to Kologarn. Just simple target management for the most part, but the eye beams are confusing cause it's hard to tell who they are focusing at first. I made a mistake on that and got one of me killed towards the end.
After I forgot to get a screenshot from Auriya it was off to Hodir, which is kind of annoying. You gotta run around constantly to stop the stacking frost damage debuff (like in Nexus), as well as trying your best to get in the buffed areas and avoiding the falling icicles. Flash Freezes are so ridiculously easy to avoid though.
And we ended the night on Freya. I lost one Shock though cause I accidentally ran him out of healer range when he got the Nature's Fury debuff. You can see his dead body there off to the left.
So far, I have achievement credit for 2 or 3 boxing everything except Thorim and Vezax. I'm sure I can do Thorim, the only reason I don't have it yet is that we have replaced my clones before the kill. Vezax is a pain. Lots of running around, and if you get the mark you have to run out pretty fast. I kept killing me cause I was slightly too slow to run out. Eventually, when I figure out how to do videos I'll have to try doing some videos of the more entertaining fights.
