[WoW] Are these macros possible?

/cast [assist=focus] Fire Blast

/follow [target=focus]

Because i think /cast [assist=focus] Fire Blast works better then /assist focus /cast Fire Blast

And it takes up less space.

i've always used it like this:

/cast [target=focustarget] Fire Blast

never seen an [assist=] block

With a macro that small it shouldn't matter either way.
