Spec Question

I currently have a 5-box going.



Paladin (Prot), Priest (Holy), Shaman (Elemental), Mage (Frost/Arcane), Mage (Frost/Arcane)

Im wondering if I should spec my mages different talents to get a better advantage? I finally reached 64 and trying the new instances and find them very hard. So possibly my specs arent setup correctly. My mages go down rather quickly so im trying to figure out how I can keep threat down and since I have 2 mages maybe having different specs between the both would be best?

Can any of you recommend best specs for my mages for Instances?

Im trying Underbog and Slave Pens now and find them more difficult because of no CC for me. Ive tried Frost Nova but its only 8 seconds.

Any suggestions would be great. Or maybe my team setup isnt that good?

how are your mages pulling aggro off the pally? just use some self control and hold off on the dps for a sec and let him get some aggro :)

as for mage specs i dont think mixing specs would be too much better... just more complicated.

im not posi but i think you should be able to aoe tank the trash in there.

Initially I was all Fire/Arcane. I was doing fireballs and that was grabbing aggro.



I changed to Frost/Arcane now to see if it will settle it down. wondering if its a good move or not ? not sure whats best build now with 3.1 patch for instances.

are you using a threat meter?

Are yeh using Righteous Fury on yer pali?

Hows yer pali specced?

I use the 9696 macro and all my guys go all out dps once the consecrate hits, never had one pull aggro before unless they where targeting the wrong critter.

Make sure all yer guys are targeting the same critter as the pali.

also should my mages stay frost or fire? I'll try 9696.
