Creating A New Multiclass Team...

Hey everyone, with a lot of down time now because of work I need something to keep me occupied while I am not raiding. So I decided to come back to multiboxing and giving it hell. Right now I am stuck on the decision making of the team. Currently I have an idea on what type of team I want, but I am not 100% dead set on it.

Paladin (Level 80 Boosting; Tank)
Druid (Resto)
Druid (Balance)
Shaman (Elemental)
Priest/Mage/Lock for the 5th spot but I am not 100% sure on it.

I might also drop the Resto Druid for a Holy priest and then have to decide on a Mage or a Lock.

The team is going to be used for PVE, and maybe a tiny amount of PVP. Might be taking them into Raids every now and then as well. Would like some feedback on all this, as I am very interested to start the team back up and would like one that could compliment itself very well in PVE.

I've got a pally, priest, mage, warlock and hunter team to 70. I regret not doing 5 shammies back then but they are up to 44 now.

Don't want to dash your hopes but be prepared to spend lots and lots and lots of time doing macros and learning classes. Every time you level and get new abilities you need to redo all your macros. You also don't have the same burst DPS as 5 DPS classes and you don't have the healing power of 5 healing classes. You need to have very good healing skills. The pally tanking is pretty trivial, you will struggle to pull aggro off the pally unless you fight something much higher level where you will get healing aggro. ALso be prepared to write macros for certain boss encounters to deal with adds etc. I had a few dedicated buttons setup, tank only, tank/direct dmg, tank/boss (dots etc), burn it down now, debuff and healing for each different character. Also made dispell/decurse/cleanse buttons for every character.

On the other hand, if you like a challenge then you can have a lot of fun with it.

Are you RAFing, boosting or leveling them old school style?

I can only talk for PVE, as I have next to no experience in PVP.

Very good team, with a lot of synergy. I second the removal of the resto druid (doubles up on MoW and the 6% extra healing) in favor of a Holy (disc could work too) Priest.
For the last spot, mage and lock are both great choices, but I prefer the mage for free ports and water, they save quite some time.

Sounds good.

My setup would be
DK/Prot paladin (tank, pala have some buffs)
Holy priest (healing, fortitude, groupheals, ressurect)
Elemental shaman (totems, burst, ressurect, selfres)
Mage/Warlock (Mage for intellect, portals, food - warlock for pet, soulstone, demonoligy increases spellpower by 12% when you crit)
Balance druid (5% increased crit for your mage/lock, shaman and priest and paladin, high crits, combatres)

The races would be: Belf paladin for enchanting (if you play this toon as main) and also extra mana regen spell/troll priest for increased spellcasting/undead mage for looks and wotf/orc female shaman (female casts awesome, blood fury), undead lock for looks or orc because orc have blood fury, 5% more damage with pets)

Make sure if your RAFing that if the paladin you want to boost with makes the boost exp. normal. If this paladin is not linked on the other hand its fine :)

If this is the problem i should make a new paladin maybe.

Thanks for the input so far, has helped a lot :) - I am going to be doing RAF, my BE Paladin, which is 80 won't be linked. My plan was to have the Paladin Account 1, and then have Account 2 linked to Account 3,4 and 5. That way Account 1 won't drop the Exp of the other 4 accounts, at least shouldn't. If I could find a way to get both a Lock and a Mage in there I would, but its inredibly hard for me to pass on Totems, or Boomkin, the only way I would be able to get them both in would be drop the priest and make the Shaman Resto. Not sure on everyones thoughts about that.

I use my 80 pally to boost and I don't have any xp issues, he is account 1 who referred account 2, account 2 than referred 3, account 3 than referred 4, etc etc.

I don't know if im seeing things wrong but it sure looks like my toons are getting their triple xp.

Yeah, you do. It doesn't matter if your lv 80 is linked as long as your other guys have a RAF somehow. A decent wat to do it is like a V. Have your main link 2 and then have them each link one. That way, the two coming off your main are linked on one side and on the other. This also allows two accounts to boost up your main's account with grant a level.
