Need a jump start
So I've read all the posts that I can find and after doing all that I can, I am stuck and need a jump start to get to the parts that I know I can control. For some reason I can't figure out why I am clicking on a number key and not getting the cloned result on my second account. When I put Q,W,E and S keys on my do-not-pass list, they don't key for about 20 seconds, then go right back to making my toons move together. I'm guessing I should unbind them on the clone account, but is it really necessary.
Sub question: There are a lot of the same FAQs that I am running across, is there a better, more in depth help guide out there? A link to something I may have missed would be appreciated... I'll keep looking in the mean time.

I can help with part of that. Clicking on a numbered button on your main hasn't got anything to do with transmitting keypresses. The keypresses (however you're doing it, software, hardware...) must be hardware-level events, not UI events in the client.

Ty for your response, I was starting to wonder that.. just don't know how it happened in videos when they would jump and the other toons would follow. i guess its all macros and back to the drawing boards for this guy.

Have you tried the tutorials on the wiki? A few of us have made step-by-step guides to your first test group. Even video guides. :)
[edit] Let me know if anything quirks. I haven't verified all the details are still valid post-3.0. :P

I have looked at those posts Ughmah. Lemme simplify my question a lil. I see all these macros and have them set up, but what I'm not getting is how my clone macros activate while playing my main if the buttons i push on my main don't effect my clone action bars. Sorry for being that guy, but thanks for the help

Post the code from some of your alts macros. Could be something simple like not setting focus, which would prevent a "/castsequence [target=focustarget] blah blah blah" macro from firing properly.
-
More precisely, your alts will only do them if you hit the keys on your keyboard instead of clicking the bars with your mouse.
Assuming you have key broadcasting set up ofcourse...

I think what your asking is how the macros affect your slaves. They dont. Macros on your master dont affect anyone. Lets look at a for instance. Say i want to use lighting bolt on all my 5 shammies. on my master ( that is being directly controled) I hit the 2 key. Now on my master there is no macro, its just the spell, but on my slaves there is a macro in the action bar in the "2" spot that tells the slave to assist the master and cast lightning bolt. Note that you cant click on the "2" spot on your master, because that is not setup to pass to the slave. only keystrokes are. You have to hit 2 on the keyboard, and keyclone ( if its set up properly ) will pass the 2 too the slaves.

dwain got my question and where I am going with it. I have a lock and a mage and frostbolt and shadowbolt are set up in the number 8 slot. I cast frostbolt and I was under the assumption that it would cast shadowbolt as well. When I first downloaded keyclone, my toons would jump in unison, cast in unison, etc. I did something to screw that up and now they are completely independent ACCEPT for my directional keys. I just can't make sense of this. I have a feeling it's something simple and as for my macros.. they are the starter macros from the wiki site - the same one linked above.

Howdy Jablob and welcome to the forums!
go to keyclone/setup/do-not-pass. hit clear. make sure 'white list' is NOT checked. then add your movement keys to the list. hit 'ok' and see what happens.
as a measure of last resort, you can 'reset' your settings to default, just exit keyclone .. .find the keyclone folder... and delete keyclone.ini file. all your keyclone settings are within this file (your wow macros will not be affected)
if you're still stumped, just me a note (or call) and i'll see what i can do.
good luck,
Rob
