As I understand, 5x blood dk's means a ton of party healing with the right glyph. Or something.
But think there was talk of a pretty nasty nerf to blood aura's?
Anyhow, someone actually boxing 5x dk's might be able to answer you better. If I could be arsed I'd look into it for you tho and theorycraft. But bit busy atm. :P

How? That's the question. This whole site is dedicated to researching and answering questions just like that - and you can become the 5 man DK expert, just keep us all posted on what you've learned. Start easy, take them all to Scarlet Cathredral or BRD, and start working it out. When you have the basic strategies worked out, go hit Ramparts and see how you do.
At level in leveling gear it's not going to be fun and there will be many you won't be able to do at all. At 80 and over geared you will probably be able to do some of them with blood spec. I'm not playing on the ptr so I can't say how viable the blood spec that allows dks to do instances without a healer will be after the 3.1 patch.
Zero has been 5 manning instances from 70 with his Dk's i believe
5 DK's can definitely solo instances at the moment - Zero has even had some success in heroics. It's possible mainly becuase blood aura currently stacks, giving you effectively 20% of damage back in health. You'll need to spec at least 36 points into the Blood tree with these talents:
Rune Tap
Improved Rune Tap
Blood Aura
Vampiric Blood
You'll also need the glyph of Rune Tap as well as this makes your rune tap heal everyone in your party for 10% of their health, as well as healing you for about 50% of your health when popped with vampiric blood.
HOWEVER - Blood Aura is being changed in 3.1 and will most likely no longer stack, which will effectively kill off this build IMO. 4 Dk's and a healer should still be viable though.
I ran a few instances with my team on the way to 80 (mainly for quest rewards) and didn't have any major issues - most bosses you just have taunt on a round robin to spread the damage around, and use rune tap as required. The only really annyoing thing is having to run back when one of your toons gets killed.

My 3rd team is lvl 78 and they are 4 DK and 1 Priest. So far its working ok. Once I hit 80 and start trying heroics I will post more on the group. So far all the instances have been fun.
Well, yeah. At that point you're using a trinity group. Or at least playing pass the offtank...but you'll probably want one guy in frost presence and the rest in blood.Quote:
