Fairly new to multibox doing three box now after 8 months

I am currently running a three-box team on Bloodscalp 1-80 Prot pally 1-65 ele Shammy 1-65 Resto Shammy



As all of you can attest that have an 80 pally tanking is fairly easy with any group but I want to know waht I can actually do with three chars decently geared that are all 80 when I get them there.

I have the equip and funds to do a full 5 box if I so desire but the thought of leveling 2 more chars to 80 makes me cringe!

I have 4 other 70's on my mains 80 pally account and I was thinking about switching out my pally tank when my two other boxes hit 70 and either sticking in my 70 druid or another 70 troll shammy to lvl all three to 80 instead of using the 80 to make it easier.

How would a druid do tanking regular instances in wotlk while llvling to 80 with my resto and ele shammy in tow? Would i have to pug the other two players or could I get by with just the three I have in the reg instances?

Also on a side note if anyone has any good links or info on shaman macros for boxers that would be great

As to the rest of your post, here are a couple suggestions. You say you have other high level toons on your main account so you could buy 2 more accounts and transfer toons to those accounts. You could use the Recruit a Friend bonus and power your 2 new accounts up to 60 and then level them that way. If you want a 5 man team you are either going to spend some money on xfers and then finish leveling them or you are going to have to use the RAF bonus xp to boost them with your pally.

You are saying I could make two new accounts that are linked by RAC from my main account that has 5 lvl 70's sitting on it and transfer 2 of those lvl 70's to my two new accounts and then use them to multibox 5? yOu have to be shitting me! Can you do that? DAM! If this is possible I have a 70 druid and another 70 shammy I can transfer to both of the new accounts and run a pally, boomkin 2x ele and a resto shamy right away all stating at 70!



Jesus that would be great...How does that work as far as setting up the accounts? DO they all have to have my name on them or what? Can they all be on the same server?

Yes set up the new accounts with the same name and email as your main. Might also help to use the same CC also. Once you have the new accounts up and running you can login to the accounts management page on your main and then you can select which characters you want to move to which account. If your characters are already all on the same server then you are all set. If not then you will have to do another transfer from server to server. There is a fee to do all of this. $25 per move I think.

Just remember that the Recruit a Friend bonus only goes up to level 60, so the leveling of the 70s you would transfer would be without the bonus.

If you did not want to spend the extra cash on transferring existing characters and just boost up 2 new toons to 60 then the recruit a friend would definitely benefit you.

Even if you don't want to level up new toons right now, I would still suggest doing the Recruit a Friend as you may want to level another team and this way you have 90 days to utilize the bonus from RAF.

Here is how I would do it:
Paladin account = A
Ele Shammy = B
Resto Shammy = C
New account 1 = D
New account 2 = E

B refers D, C refers E, then boost with A

This allows you to maximize exp gains on 4 accounts. Since you already have 3 paid I do not think you can do it to where you maximize the linkage for granting a 5th toon to level 60. Someone please let me know if I am wrong.

There is a fairly simple way to grant up to 60 this way but it is not coming across when I attempt to explain it in text and it involves leveling 2 more toons on D to level 30-31. LOL

Yeah I have used the Grant a level to make several chars 60 on both my alt accounts by leveling two to 59 then doing two to 30 and making them 60 through GaL. I dont really care about boosting in wotlk as i already will have 5 70's to start out with. I want to do northrend loremaster with them all and rack up the gold. being able to farm heroics with my own group i slike having a personal gold bank. Just from abyss crystals along on my server i could make 1000g buy doing 5 heroics not to mention the greens and blues that drop. I mainly want to do the instances myself because I cant stand pugs anymore. I've played since release and when I started multiboxing I won't play any other way. I'll have to look into the transfer aspect for my main account. The only thing that would suck would be $75 bucks a month on he dam fee for the game. Im already at $45 I guess what is another $30 eh? I just want to know if doing 5 box is worth it, meaning is it fairly easy or does it take a lot of time to do a heroic instance. Right now I set up my tank and beatstuff down while my shams are stationary healing me and providing dps support. I've done every heroic instance in wotlk and have collected over 700 EoH on my pally but I dont see anything being easy about them while controlling all 5 toons. Anyone else do this on a regular basis?

There are many who 5 box heroics daily. Look for some of the threads telling which are the easier ones to do. Also, there may be some videos.
