Instance Boosting
Hi,
Sorry first if i posted this in the wrong forum, please feel free to tell me so.
Ok, I sometimes use an alt to boost a friend leveling a priest. So i run him into instances and well yesterday i was doing UBRS for him. I had forgotten that there was those mobs call the summoner or something like that at the first room near the entrance. I notice that every 10ish second they summon up to 2 mobs. It seems that killing those mobs grant XP + Loot. So I was wondering if it would be againt the EULA or any other blizzard rule to not kill the summoner but keep killing the mob that are summoned by the summoner to collect XP.
Those mobs granted him like 200-300xp at 51-52(Non Recruit a friend xp). The good thing is you dont need to move, so you can basicly put the low lvl in a room out of los and use the level 80 to kill the spawning mob. If you have two summoners summoning, it becomes pretty fast overwehlming. Keep in mind that you cant aoe dps as you have to not kill the summoner. So single target fast dps works. My DK was pretty perfect for that and i guess blood DK or ret pali would be perfect for this job. I know you arent blizz legal department but just wanted to know what was your idea / feeling about this ?
Thks a lot for your reply.

It isnt ilegal to use this but if you think the amount of xp ur friend is getting is too much to be reasonable then you could always ticket a GM just to make him aware what you are doing and see if he thinks its ok.

ISnt it a bit like calling the police, and asking them yesterday I tried drug and it felt great is it legal to do it ? Dont you risk anything by doing that ?

Nah you would be safe to do this as it doesnt say in the TOS that you cant find effective ways of leveling. What it does say *maybe not in the exact words* is that if you are found to be repeatedly abusing a bug then action can be taken. If you alert a GM to this you may risk them fixing it in the future (Though unless it is really abusable on a large scale, its unlikely it will happen). All you are doing by speaking to a GM is safeguarding yourself if they 'catch' you abusing it :)

Well, ass this sounds a littlebit like the old 'zolo-method', and plenty of users (me included) did this, and none of them got banned for it (as far as I know), I think its quite safe to use it and it is more likely that blzzards nerfes the xp (like they did with zolo and strat), than that they ban for it.

Ok thanks, i ll ticket a GM later. I remember though someone sending a ticket about a method to lvl and the GM said it was ok but a few days later the guy was banned. I think it was the lvl 80 first thingy.
