RAF Clarification Questions

Greetings! Being new to multi-boxing, I've decided to make a go of it. There are a few (rather important) questions still lingering after reading the wiki, searching, etc.

Here's my situation: I currently have an account with a level 80 geared death knight (who I think would be great for boosting). Now, I want to multibox 2 or 3 new accounts/characters using the Recruit a Friend.

The wiki says that you can't boost if you recruit from the primary account (in this case my DK account).

So my question is this: will I still be getting triple experience on my low levels if I link from my primary -> New Account -> New Account if I am using my DK to run them through instances?

Or do I need to do unlinked, then New Account -> New Account -> New Account in order for the new chars to get triple XP whilst I am running them through instances with my level 80?

Basically, what's the best way to Recruit-Chain so that I can use my level 80 to level up new chars as quickly as possible?

Ok so say if u have 1 account.. you RAF from 1--> 2.. then 1--->3 1---->4
They will all get the triple xp.. but they have to be with 1... BUT account 1 will not get triple xp.
BUT AGAIN, if account 1 is going to be used to grind to at least lvl 60, then this is how it needs to be done.. which is what u said with ur DK..


If you are trying to make a new group with the 1, 2, 3, 4 all getting triple xp, then .... well not sure.

hope this helps.. if u have a main grinding just recruit everyone from this main account.

to OP,
link your account like so:
1 -> 2-> 3 -> 4 ->5.

if you use account 1 to boost, accounts 2 to 5 will still get 3x exp (1 high level running peeps through instances)
if you level all five together, they will all get 3x exp (5 guys of the same level, or close to, leveling together through quests or instances)
remember the rules and you should be fine.

I thought that you would only be able to boost accounts 3-5 with this setup?

I have mine setup like that, account 1 referred 2, 2 referred 3, 3 referred 4, 4 referred 5.

If i use my high level on 1, wouldn't that mean that only 3-5 will be able to be boosted and not 2, since they are linked?

how [s]is[/s] are two and three linked?

(disregard the link between 1 and 2, as that will not factor in because 1 is too high leveled for 2 to get 3x exp from 1. but.... 2 and 3?, yes. therfore, the only character missing out on the sweetness that is 3x exp is account.... you guessed it... ONE.)

still confusing as hell, i guess the only way is to jump in an instance and find out for myself :)

like i said previously to the OP, remember the rules.

if your accounts are linked, in the same party and within 4 levels of each other, you get the 3x exp. i didnt say that earlier... but thats what the rules are.
so the link between 1 and 2 disqualifies 1 and 2.
but the link between 2 and 3 qualifies 2 and 3, and so forth and so on.

So last night I created my multiboxing accounts - linked 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 5

Ran my four new chars through Wailing Caverns a couple of times, and sure enough 2-5 all got their triple experience.
