Am I missing any macros for my team or will this be good for the lower levels?

So, I'm working on the macros for when I am ready to start 5-boxing. Question is, are these macros okish for the lower levels? I'm going to have a Paladin for the tank, 3x Warlocks for DPS and a Priest to heal.

The basic idea at low levels is just to play until you realize you need to do something you can't, then set a macro up for it as you go :)

The only real necessary ones to start out are some sort of targeting system (/assist, /focus, etc), and a /follow macro, and then at least 1 spell set up to go off when you push a button. An accept macro is nice for accepting quests. Beyond that, thats probably all you need to get to 60 unless you plan on instancing :) You can set up additional abilities on macros as you need them and tweak existing buttons as you realize they might not do exactly what you want them to. Its quite a large learning experience and as you go along you'll learn all sorts of stuff!

Also forgot to add, you can shorten a lot of your commands. Ie:

/target toon1
/focus

Could just be:

/focus toon1

What I'm mainly trying to do is get some sort of system working for a Paladin tank, Warlock x3 DPS, and a Priest to heal. The Paladin is the main character, but I don't know how I would have the alts follow the main, but when the main targets something the alts stop following and start assisting when the main attacks. And then the priest just heals when I mouse over a party icon for the toon that needs healing.

Ive played up to level 70 so far and you already have a ton more macros than I do. My main is a paladin and his hot bar is blank. I use the ingame options to have that second row of boxes right above the main one and I just use the mouse to click ablities. For the rest of the team. 1-4 are DPS macros and 5-8 are healing macros. 9 to = are mount follow eat/drink/buff macros. So far its been 99% flawless. I can think of one instance where I had to trade out some stuff for fire immune mobs but even now that wouldnt matter.

I'm not sure what you're saying here - do you want to split the /follow and the /assist functions?

Well, if I do 1 paladin and 3/4 warlocks then yea, I'd want to send the paladin up close to tank and let the warlocks DPS from behind. Or is that just as simple as hitting the back key on my alts and walking the main up close by himself.

It looks like you have the basics covered to me.

I'd recommended getting the addons Jamba and Smartbuff. Maybe Healbot if your main is the priest. I used Healbot (2nd monitor, my priest is a slave toon) until I started doing more difficult instances.

Also, doesn't harm imply exists??? I forget.

You might want to bind a single key to a different movement direction on your four slaves as well, this spreads them out.

Priests first heal is Lesser Heal, I believe. Maybe Renew too?

If your main is the priest, I am not sure you really need a macro for healing? Although, with focus you might. I don't typically use focus for this type of thing (at least not yet), so I don't know.

Ah, gotcha!

The back keys works, it's as simple as that - or you can looking into one of the placement macros people have posted here, to move them into a formation.

What I do, is leave the strafe keys bound on my guys, so when I want to drop the casters off and send the main in, all I do is hit "Q" or "E" - and to make it more interesting, I reversed the keys on each alt (Player two has q for strafe right, e for strafe left, player 3 is opposite). It's not the most elegant, but it works for me - but I only have 3 toons to deal with.

Then, when I want them back following, I hit "f" - the way I have "f" keybound is, the main has "target nearest mob" set to f, the alts have "/assist focus" on "f". This makes them auto-follow and run up and fire.

With 3 locks, what spell rotations are you using/going to use? That's going to be very important later on. Are you going to make them all 3 Affiliction? Or maybe spec one demon, for the synergies from the pets? I've played with the idea of 3 locks, each specced to one tree, and see what the synergy of Affliction/Demon/Destro would be (as well as being VERY hugh maintenance, that's a LOT going on!)

Also, I have one lock on a 3-man team, and I found it's better/fun to have several of his ability on shift-keys - drains on shift-1 and 2, ect..., and the I have a standard trash/mob macro, then a "nuke" macro for bosses and elites. With this last patch, his DPS went way up, he's rocking the top of my DPS meter right now. :)

I'm actually thinking of ditching the pally and having 4 locks and 1 priest now. That way I could send the voidwalkers in to pull mobs and tank. Then 2 locks would be affliction and DoT the mob(s) up and then just ShadowBolt them. The other 2 locks would be destro and just nuke em down. Then the priest just sits back and relaxs until a heal is needed.
