New to boxing project.

Hello, my first post here. I havent only been here for 5 minutes, i have actually been looking at the site and forums for a few days and collecting information here and there. I just recently really wanted to try dual-boxing. I have seen people multi-boxing several times and have always wanted to try it. For starters im 16 (tomorrow actually is my birthday turning 16) and i have been playing wow for 2 years now. I am a very smart kid and are in 3 out of 4 honors classes at school and get A's And B's without trying. I did some reasearch before i started and best guess went software over hardware as i in now way have the money for multiple computers. I have always had one account till they started the RAF promotion. I bought a new account that time and did it with my friend but we didnt level much and got no where. My friend recently started and i had him raf with me before he made his account but he quit MMO's shortly after and let me use/have his account for now. I dont know where its gonna go for now but that and my spare account i had are the two accounts im using and then i have my main account with my 80 warlock (w00t).

My first project: Double Shamans
I have looked at shamans and seem to be very popular and overall work well in teams. Im only leveling 2 because of the extra RAF xp thing would ruin the leveling if i tried to do it on my main account too. I plan to triple-box when the RAF runs out but will utilize it for now. I am using Keyclone as my software. I looked around and saw autohotkey (i think thats it) and other like it that were free but more complicated and require scripting. The 20$ wasn't really a big deal IMO if it is a lifetime usuage program. I have already set it up and installed and is working flawlessly. I havent used too many features besides the basics. I have also looked around and found/identified some macros that have been very useful and excellent overall. My hardware part of it all is my computer, keyboard and mouse (obviously). Im running a custom built computer that a local lan center owner made for me. He is a bit of a friend and is always good to me with computers and when me and my friends are there.

Keyboard: Logitech g-15, the extra macro/keybind buttons have really come in handy for ease and comfort.

Journal on progress:
Day 1: This morning woke up with the day off because bad weather (blah blah blah on to the good stuff) So i had made the decision last night was gonna start this but had raids with my 80 warlock so couldnt start then. Got up DLed keyclone, setup, made characters and BAM. It had begun. Was playing with macros, keybinds, setup for a good half of the day on alts and stuff before actually cracking down and leveling. I hit lvl 10 not long and am on brake ATM. I am going for 12 or 13 tonight. Only problem im really having is with quests, picking up sharing and completing. I made a macro to accept a quest if attempting to share which helped a bit.

Day 2: Tried Jamba didnt take the time to fiddle with it so gonna try some other time. Got to 12, little slow on leveling because totem quests have been obnoxious and killing mobs can sometimes be hard if i get multiples. still leveling.

Day 3: Spent alot of time leveling today.Went well. I am getting good at working with a situation on the fly with my setup. I got to 17 before stopping leveling. I removed Jamba from my addons list because it was messing with any other characters i went on and i wasn't willing to take the time to play with the settings to fix it.

Day 4: Busy most of day, may do some leveling later tonight.

Day 5: Didnt level

Day 6: spent a good chunk this afternoon leveling. I hit 18.

Well tomorrow is my birthday and i am not really asking for or expecting anything but if anyone has any ideas as to something i might be able to get to help with boxing all suggestions welcome. I also here the nearby circuit city is going out of business and liquidation starts tomorrow so ill try to get over that way. Also any suggestions for addons, programs, macros or anything is welcome. Im on the server drak'tharon.

2. try this: [Addon] Jamba - An assistant for multiboxers. 10th Update - 0.4b released.

3. try to get another account. if you get noted as boxing with two accounts, one of which is not under your name, both accounts can be banned.

4. your computer seems fine to run two or three WoW's at once. do make individual folders for each wow account you launch, as this will make it easier to customize each one. you will want your slave account with low settings while your main should have medium/high settings. also keep the addons on your slaves minimal. i only have Jamba, bagnon, carbonite and macaroon on my slaves.

ok have fun. and with shamans, they rock. two of anything rocks. by the time you're on your second or third team, try a mix group and see how you like it.

Buy another account first on the list, ill check out that addon later 10 man naxx right now =\

Im thinking about dropping those 2 accounts now and just making a new one to go with my main main account, any ideas anyone?
I have no idea how long i will have my friends account and definitely don't want to get banned.

I'd RAF one account, from your current main account.
That way both of your accounts are in your name.
You can level two toons at once, one per account, and they'll both get the triple experience from kills and quests.
Plus you'll have the resources of an 80 to equip your toons a little and to pay for the 30 and 60 mounts, skills etc.
Jamba is an awesome addon for boxing, I'll second that recommendation.

its a multiboxer-friendly addon that does things like....

1. auto follow
2. auto buy/sell stuff
3. auto flight destination selection.
4. auto quest stuffs (accepting, completion, even auto reward selection)
5. exp bar monitor
6. auto party, kinda.
7. auto deny a bunch of things.
8. auto chat relay from slaves to main, vice versa. some quest tracking also.
9. message main during certain events (broken follow, slave being attacked, low mana, low health, etc)
10. party preferences, including loot type, and JAMBA target is one awesome feature.

Hello all, got some B-Day hardware today (isnt that the best kind?) I got a full blown surround sound system for my computer. 4 wall mounted, 1 center, and 1 sub-woofer. It is the logitech X-540. May take a trip to the store later for a few of my own picks. I still need some materials for setting up the speakers. :thumbsup:

I was busy last night with a failure 10 man naxx, i quit early as i was exhausted. I plan on hitting up the project today as i will have the whole day to myself. (Best way) Plan on doing some major damage and getting accustomed too it.

I got jamba and it seemed nice but i didnt have the patience to fiddle with it plus my server just went down for emergency maintenance.

Still leveling, im trying to keep up with the journal, didn't any work today because was hanging with friends.
I have been wondering if there is any other way besides keybind setups to get my slave to spread out or move. Sometimes based on what a mob does i want to have them both at same range for melee because i cant really do anything else. Any ideas?
