Hey, I was wondering how you guys would box a druid & mage combo, im boxing it as 2x spellcaster right now which basicly means frostbolt/wrath, HoT's spam, and for easy mob groups I have the druid stationary spaming heals while I aoe down the mobs with the mage. It's going well and all, but as mobs grow harder and harder I dont see myself NOT using the druid as main in bear/cat form, so I wonder if its any good dualboxing with a feral druid? I know meele sucks to box, but anyone got a input if I should continiue playing the druid as caster or try to start going feral?
I run a lock/mage/druid team. Here's my 2 cents:
Spec the druid Balance, so you can get Boomkin asap. If you're going to cast, then get serious about it. Going feral if you're going to sit there and spam heals and such is a waste - you might as well go resto. Boomers are great to run with - great buff, good survivability, and serious dps if you spec right and use the right rotation - plus you can use cloth or leather - there's not as much specific Boomer drops, but they can use so many pieces, it's not hard to gear them.
Don't get me wrong, I love feral, but it's a pain to manage with other classes. At least to me, it is. My Boomkin is very low maintainence, and what she brings to the table - roots, trees, buffs, armor, and casting, I just love the Boomkin class right now. :) She just got a full Overcast set, and is kicking major butt!
I would keep the mage Frost, for survivability and CC, and plenty of DPS. My mage is fire, but I have more tricks to grab aggro back when she nukes a mob (she's a HUGE aggro magnet, especially now with FrostFire) with a druid and a lock - the felguard manages to keep aggro most of the time, thank god!
