1 character - 2 setups?
I'm not sure this is the right forum, so feel free to move the thread if required. Anyway, I'm planning to use one of my dps chars (hunter) to raid with when he reaches 80. The problem is that he's part of my multibox setup as a slave, meaning that his UI is setup for a low resolution (1200*960), which I find is a bit small for raids. Also, when raiding, I'm using additional add-ons and his dps is not fully macroed since this is less efficient.
Ideally, I'd like to have two wow-directories and when run from one of them, he has his raiding setup and when run from the other, he has his multibox-slave setup. Because action buttons etc. are saved on a per-character basis, this is tricky - even if I create a new wow-folder for my raid-setup, his buttons will still be those of the slave-setup and if I change them, they'll change on the slave as well.
I've considered using macaroon to make a new paged bar (with 54 buttons) and then just page down to the raid-setup, but I imagine I'm not the first with this problem, so I'd love to hear how you guys are handling it with out totally reconfiguring the UI every time? :-)

I do that for one of my shamans, which is my raiding toon also.
What i do is I use 2 wow directories, one for slaves, one for my raiding character(and well my dk has another one too), for both copies I use bartender 4, on my slave I use bar 1/2/3 and for my raiding one I use bar 4/5/6/7, so every time i switch my buttons stay in the same spot on both clients.
The only thing that i need to redo every time is some kuey bindings, but that with bar4 takes about 5 seconds.

search the macros forum for a post regarding synchronizeSettings in config.wtf, there are 3-4 variables that let you turn WoW back to the mode where it stores all macros, keybindings, etc on the client machine. I've done that and have seperate wow dirs for multibox mode and single player mode.
There is also a mod called ActionBarSaver that lets you save wow (and other mods that use default wow button configs, like bartender4) action bars into sets and swap with a command. So I have a resto solo, resto multibox, ele solo, ele multibox, and PVP button set on one of my shamans for example. I think you can do this inside Macaroon itself, including swapping keybindings, so you may want to look into just using Macaroon by itself.

Hmm... aren't macros stored server-side now?
