Savage Gladiator Gear

So, I've seen countless threads all over the place, some here, some on the normal forums, and some elsewhere regarding gear costs. As was stated by Blizzard many moons ago, the costs would be reworked, and they're live on the PTR.

Savage Gladiator Gear - Armor, Legs, Head - 60k honor
Savage Gladiator Gear - Hands, Shoulders - 50k honor

Hateful Gladiator Belt - 49.6k honor
Deadly Gladiator Belt - 62k honor, 1630 PR required

Hateful Gladiator Boots - 49.6k honor
Deadly Gladiator Boots - 62k honor, 1720 PR required

Hateful Gladiator Wrist - 31.6k honor
Deadly Gladiator Wrist - 39.4k honor, 1660 PR required

Hateful Gladiator Neck - 38k honor
Deadly Gladiator Neck - 47.4k honor, 1600 PR required

Hateful Gladiator Cloak - 38k honor
Deadly Gladiator Cloak - 47.4k honor, 1750 PR required

Hateful Gladiator Rings - 38k honor
Deadly Gladiator Rings - 47.4k honor, 1690 PR required

New Battlemaster Trinkets - 62k honor, 1800 PR required
New Insignia - 49.6k honor

I'm going to go look for weapons and such in Dalaran in a bit, I assume the arena vendor will be placed in the sewers next to the battlemasters and organizer. This is everything I could find in orgrimaar, so... not sure where weapons are, unless it's late and I missed a vendor, which is entirely plausible. :)

Edit: There's some new gear available in Wintergrasp that use 40+ WG marks, or you can use 9 marks to turn in for the 2k honor commendation. Marks are only used for honor turns ins now, not for gear.

Do you have any idea howmuch 1h, 2h and shields will costs?

I am planning to buy: Shield->1h->shoulders->gloves->chest->legs->helm.

Shield (more armor, less damage from melee), 1h (more spelldamage) shoulders (looks) gloves (the bonus on gloves are usually nice, +5 range with a shock or whatever) chest/legs (mostly costs most and have the best stats of all the parts) helm (to complete the set/meta gem)

I think i will go then: belt->boots->shoes->neck->rings->trinkets.

They seriously need to raise the honor cap if these are the prices.

Yeah, wasn't the intent to have 3 times the most expensive piece as the cap?

Of course, then again, don't they want people to have to maintain their rating, and not stockpile 200,000 honor, buy their way in to a xxxx PR, and dump all their points in a single day?

I'm starting with crap qeusting gear, no intention to waste any money on craftables so I guess the Savage gear is my best starting point.

What pvp gearing tactics are people planning to follow?

They should remove the cap all together. I have no idea why they even have a cap. If you pvp and gain honor why should you reach a point where pvping is a waste of time? My guys have been capped for awhile. I have earned enough honor to cap 2 times. The only reason I am still pvping is to get wintersgrasp marks. Its pretty stupid all that honor going to waste I could have right now.

You can mix it up with Arena points and it will barely cost anything.

Based on the big PvP post yesterday, I thought they had reverted to only honor and ap. However, after checking the PTR, the honor vendor is still available in Org along with the honor/ap vendor in Dalaran.

Whether or not this will go live today, remains to be seen obviously,

So did Blizz remove the need to have marks to buy stuff now? Im really hopeing so... Cause I really hate running anything but AV and AB lol
