[WoW] 5 Elemental Shamans, any heroic possible now while level 80? (Green/blue quest reward geared)

Hello guys,

I really wonder if there are any heroic instances i can do with 5 elemental shamans. I had no problems at all on level 70, i even did MGT HC and stuff. I tried a couple heroic instances in WotLK and they failed miserably.

It just seems that my earth elementals die in midfight, or that they just get onehitted. Bosses also one/two hit my character and bloodlust is also nerfed.
I know there were pretty much 5 elemental shaman teams on 70. What about now? At 80? Have you guys have found one HC instance you can complete? Maybe even the first two bosses or something?

I want badges for the 33 badges shield. And i just dont have anything to do now on level 80.

There is nothing similiar to level 70 Quel'Danas isle for money, and i need 5.5k gold to epic flying mounts.
There are no heroic instance i can do. (thats why im asking now).
I have been doing PvP, but already reached 75k, so i prefer playing again when i can gain points, else i will be bored a lot when i need to start farming for gear again.
I want to do arena when S5 is here, maybe if HC instances aren't something for 5 dps teams, something i can prepare now before S5 comes.

I also have my protadin sitting on level 70. Maybe it works out if i get him in heroics, altho that didn't worked out on level 70. Thats why i leveled a 5th shaman.

I hope anyone can answer my question(s).

Earth elementals seem to be bugged stuck with their old lvl 70 stats, thats why they die so fast.

As you can see from this stie, people who run with a pally and 4 shamans have had success in heroics, so that might be the best option until the fix the elementals.

This just confused me. I've been doing dailies in Northrend waiting for some of our bug fixes to come (Command, Elementals, Scaling Damage Talents, etc.), and have farmed enough for one of my Traveler's Tundra Mammoths and gotten my Sons of Hodir and Frenzyheart reps to Revered. There are more than 25 dailies to choose from - heck if you just did the ez ones in Icecrown you could knock out 12+ easy.

Anyway, in answer to your original question, this is exactly how it was in BC. Heroics are exceptionally hard, especially in our state. I've shelved the idea of doing them since I have a million other things to do, and my best attempts have been on Prince Keleseth in Heroic UK where i've gotten him to 4%, 5%, and then 2%, before i just get overwhelmed. So, while I wait for the Savage Glad gear and our big fixes to come out, I'm busying myself doing other things. I may venture back in this weekend to try again, but that's been my experience.

Granted, the northrend dailies give less money than the lvl 70 ones. But if you want to do them for the money you can still go back to the isle and do the lvl 70 ones.

Actually, after making my post, i went back and killed Keleseth. We'll see how the rest of the instance goes.

Yup, just tried the multiphase survey quest at 76 - it gave me 4.5g and zero experience - don't believe old dailies are an option for gold - just there if you want to work up old world reputations now.

I am going to try UK HC like you said, maybe i can kill the first one or two bosses :)

I didnt knew that about our fire and earth elementals, i hope they get fixed soon.
Im thinking about leveling my Paladin to 80 with retribution, now i heard its cool, maybe its a fun thing to play in the next 3 weeks.

I was also thinking about dual-specs. I always hated the idea to make one of my shamans resto, because i didnt want to respecc 24/7 or only do PvE. But with dual specs i can just make one of my shammies restoration, and heal my paladin, and when im done and im going to do BGs i can swap him back to elemental :D One of my shamans is on my paladin account, so he will miss the marks then. But im planning to do arena with 4/5 of my shamans, so one will miss arena points anyways.

I'm not sure where you get this? I'm not 80 yet, but unless I'm being misinformed by my 80th buddies the payouts are averaging ~13g on the low end which is better than the low end of 9g pre Lich King...

So far, i've only been able to down two heroic bosses. The snake boss from Gundrak. For this, i had to use all 5 earth elemental totems and just nuke the crap out of him and do a chain heal or two through the poison nova. Out of three attempts, I've only gotten him down once. The other two times, i got him to under 5%, so it appears to be a massive dps race.

The easiest boss I've found so far is UT Pinnacles Svala Sorrowgrave. To get to her, i had a lot of headaches as the range for hex isn't all that far, so i would pull the adds, then attempt to hex, and usually by that time, one of my shamans already died. Worst of all, I couldn't use thunderstorm as it would break the hex. On the last set of mobs before the boss, i think i finally got a strategy down that appears to work. I set up all my hex targets, lay down my totem farm, then run my entire group forward to aggro them. As soon as they aggro, I hex every one of them, and then back them up beyond the totems. This gives me a chance to heal up if needed, or just sit back and solo dps each target.

The boss fight is amazingly simple. Lay down your totem farm and go to town. She seems to transform rather quickly, so i only had to cast one LHW the entire fight, then after that I just stayed on her dpsing her. When she did the sacrafice to one of my shamans, i ignored it and stayed dpsing on her. She died right about the same time the one was sacraficed.

How are you guys doing UT Keep? I seem to do just fine up until I get to the room with the protos dragons and those things just eat me alive causing me to wipe on nearly every pull. What's the special tactic for these? I didn't try using a fire resistance totem, and maybe that'll be the difference.

All i need now is for my daughter to level her druid a little quicker, then I'll have me a tank where I can swap out a shammy here and there.

I'm sitting about 14.5k HP and on beta in the blue pvp gear, i was right @ 19k, so I do believe that with gear, these heroics will be a little easier.
