Anyone tried a DK as a Booster yet ?

Hi,

Now that WOTLK has been out a while I am wondering if anyone has experimented using a DK to boost their RAF toons in places like SFK / SM.

I used a Pally when I did it and it was quite good because of the pull sizes you could do.

DK's can spread diseases easily and would do more damage than a Pally, but do they have the HP do big pulls, ie; Pulling Mograine aggroing the whol Cath after the coutyard has been cleared ?

Ill break it down:

2 RAF accounts gaining all the RAF benefits.

1 Non RAF high level Booster runs the RAF's through instances so they get uber XP.

Ive done it with a 70 Pally, Im asking if a high level DK is better / as good as a Paladin.

Yes, I have tried it with a 73 Death Knight (roughly 12-13k hp). I have only tried SM so far and I only have a 70 Mage for comparison. Basically it works fine, probably not quite as smooth as a paly, you aren't reflecting any damage, so you are relying on getting at least one disease up to spread with pestilence. Its pretty hard to do that without killing the mob you target in one or two swings, but it is possible (switching weapons is one solution), particularly on mograine.

In answer to your specific question, yes you can take the entire cath without any trouble, no healing required.

I still prefer my mage for boosting though, I can do cath with him in the same number of pulls, just feels a bit quicker and simpler. That said, I think once I get past SM, i'll switch in my DK for the higher instances.
