51 Point talents + Geared toons = utter imbalance. Besides getting my arena matches in, I completely stopped pvping with 3.0.2. I'm hopeful that at level 80 everything will be back in line.

YES! This is an issue that is largely undiscussed I believe.. so many classes have aoe interrupts/knockbacks/stuns now that the healing classes with instant spells are much better suited for PVP.
The major issue with shaman right now is that we lack any survivability while under siege, due to not having any instant heals whatsoever.
4x healing stream helps a bit, but it's far from sufficient for surviving heavy aoe blended with knockbacks and aoe stuns and aoe silences.
Personally I think they should make earth shield a trainable spell, and replace the talent with something more interesting.

My hope is that a EM + Chain Lightning + Lava Burst will be enough to take down a target. This does make us more predictable in that Flame shock will need to be up. But in all honest at the high end, the other teams know who I need to kill to win. Looking forward to a buff on HPs so I'm not getting 2 shotted by 2 players...but then again I can accept being one shotted by four :D
I think it shows how broken arena is at 70 when the game is balanced at 80. Its so unbalanced we can't even heal through damage with a 5 healer set up. Wishing for more balanced days ahead.
People got 2 shotted at lvl 60, then we got a HP buff and people can get 2 shotted at lvl 70. We are going to get a HP buff on the way to 80, people will still get 2 shotted...Quote:

Secondly level 60 was completely unbalanced in terms of PvE vs PvP gear. Resilience was created to fix that gap.
Thirdly, It was possible to 1-shot classes at 60 (dual trinket + POM = DEATH). And there was no arena at 60.
Lastly, healing is only useless atm because damage is so unbalanced. Blizzard knows the majority of its players play DMG classes and what better way to get them to buy the expansion then to reward dual dps teams in arena m(imo). The hardcore folks dont really care because their season is over. Don't forget how OP Paladins in arena where in BC. Warrior + Pally was impossible in S1. It wasnt until changes that Priests and Druids became the healing class of choice in S2. Pallies dont have HoTs and every resto class now has some Instant healing spell available.
At 80 I think you'll see some classes aren't as powerful as they seem now and some classes are much more powerful than they seem in their current state. Shaman have never been a dominate force in arena. What makes the quadbox shaman team great? It has nothing to do with the OP of the class but rather our ability to heal better than anyone in the game (+lesser healing, now even more buffed from the +spell power) and our ability to unpredicatably deliver some of the most gnarly instant DMG in the game.
S5 will represent my attempt at becoming a Brutal (Hateful) Galdiator. Sure my current BG Group sux, but at the +2k level I garauntee the BG9 rerolls that I beat represent some of the best WoW has to offer.
Just glad this nonsense imbalance is coming to an end tonight. :D

It's not a surprise. What I'm trying to highlight is that the playing field has changed in favor of instant cast healers. Just the fact that they can still heal while flying during a knockback is tremendously affecting balance in their favor. And then we're not even considering interrupts and CC.
