Comp Freezing while dual boxing in EQ1, Help please

My computer has been freezing while dual boxing. Here are my specs:

NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT
3 GB RAM
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, MMX, 3D Now (2 CPUS)
Windows XP Professional
DirectX 9.0c

I am running ALL old school graphics, and that hasn't fixed the problem. I have begun to wonder if it's a heating problem. When I custom built the computer, I didn't install a new fan or power supply because both had problems when they arrived. Any help from the community would be great. The freezes seem to be random. Sometimes I will just be running around in an empty zone and it will freeze, and other times the comp will freeze in the heat of combat. I don't have any other games/applications running while playing EQ. I recently cleaned the dust out from my computer and that didn't solve the problem. Well, thats about all I can think to say. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have the same issue occasionally, what usually helps is rebooting everything (including the router and cable modem) and reloading EQ.

For me, it seems to happen mostly when I've had EQ logged on for a few days. You can also try doing a complete file check from the EQ loading screen, as the files sometimes get corrupted. Also try updating your video card drivers.

Has this always happened since you started using the computer, or did it work well at one time?

Also bear in mind that with the new expansion and multiple emergency fixes they've done lately, things may be running less than perfectly on the server end.
