Thoughts about the new arenas..

So after the new patch today i decided to get my Vengfull robes from the vendor in area 51 and realised that one of my shamans hadnt been given his arena points evne if he had the same amount of matches as the others.

So i wrote a ticket but just incase things didnt work out i went to do another 10 matches and i would atleast get it before WOTLK.

Queued my 5 shamans since i cba to wait for my healer since he didnt need the matches anyway but the queues were unavilable so i i just hanged on in the queue and started leveling Jewelcrafting on one of my toons.

After 45 mins the i get to option to join the battles and i face a quad boxer from Frostmane(EU) with a holy paladin as a healer in blades edge. Since i just wanted points and only needed 150 i didnt realy care about my rating and went in and blew thunderstorm but he wwas quicker and sent me off the bridge so i lost. Cant remember the names since im at work but it was something with Jinx....

So i thought finally i can just get the matches done and requeued.

After a while i was able to enter again and was suprised when i saw the sewer arena load.

Im not good at explaining but i will give it a go:

Its a square arena with 2 levels and a fighting ring like you see in boxing (without the ropes in it) and there are 2 stairs at each end to enter and if your on the lower platform you can los the people on the highest platform. There are some boxes lying in each corner but if its possible to los with them i cant tell. In the middle tons of water floods down at random times and you cant shoot or walk trought it.

There are TONS of possible ways to los this arena but i guess it can be used to our advantage but my belives is that it will be hard to face other knockbackers.

Then after a while i got into the orgrimmar arena were you start about 30 feet below the ground and a elevators take you up:

The fights were so fast since i bacily just ble 5x thunderstorms and won instant, its hard to say about the size but we both blew thunderstorm instant and hit each others so it cant be more then 10 yards away.

You do not see your opponents before the fence drops so its kinda stressfull.

Advantages while it could be considered exploiting is to drop totems 2 seconds before you hit the main floor and they are actually under the elevator. So i assume they cant be taken out by pets/ranged bu i hardly think its a issue since the fights ends so fast.

There were pillars that went up and down but it was on a random timer or not is hard to tell. Even thougth this arena looks like an advantage to us im not sure it will be thanks to the deathknights gay magic field or whatever its called!
