Struggling to level

Hi guys, I've recently started to dual-box with the RAF bonus, and I'm in need of some help.
I have a Priest/Warrior combo at lvl 22, and I'm struggling to level, I constantly keep on dying and the corpseruns take a lot of time.
I use Keyclone, Jamba and a RAF leveling guide I found here.
I've used the Warrior as my master, but I don't feel like I'm getting all the benefits I would right now.

I play with 2 screens and windowed mode so I can move my cursor to the other char, but sometimes it creates a bug, so that the cursor wont move and stays at my other screens border, everytime I try to move it there my priest just spins and breaks follow.

Basicly, when I log on, I invite the priest, and I have setup a /follow macro on SHIFT+2.
This is how my combat works:
I target the enemy with my warrior, then I press 3, wich is an assist macro for my priest and Bloodrage on the warr. Then I press 1 wich is Charge and /castsequence reset=target Shadow word: Pain, Devouring Plague.
So my warrior charges in, while my priest is on follow running towards the mob and dotting it.
Then I have Heroic Strike on 2, and a /castsequence reset=target Holy Fire, Mind Blast, Smite, Shoot, wich I basicly spam.
I also have a healing macro that casts flash heal on my warrior.

I'm sure everyone will agree, the most time you waste comes from corpse running. Why are you dying so much? Is the warrior unable to maintain aggro, or is the priest oom?

I was running a similar setup but with a druid/priest combo, controlling the druid as main much as you are using your warrior. I ended up just tanking with the priest in the end because I went for pure dps from both toons (with a shad specced priest, the druid could not hold aggro without losing too much dps), and it just worked out easier this way as everything dropped so quickly. I can say that I never used the dots (too high a mana cost for a target which would die well before the dot had ended) unless it was a boss fight, so it was mainly Mind Blast/Mind Flay for the priest,supplemented with a shield/renew macro set up for casting on either toon.

The warrior is a melee toon, so you'll want that as your active window most of the time.
I'd have the priest in a support role. Definitely your healer. Possibly picking up Mindflay in Shadow, but probably not going any deeper in that tree.

A solo warrior is capable of killing stuff and leveling quite well, without any heals. Between bandages and food, they cut their downtime a bit.
A priest healer in addition to the warrior reduces downtime to basically nothing, saves you a lot of bandage/food gold and increases what you can survive in a single pull.

I'd personally set up maybe say... Keys 1-7 are for the warrior.
Keys 8, 9 and 0 are the priest.

The priest can have some kind of a cast sequence on the same keybind as the warrior...
1 might be /castsequence ,,Charge, Sunder, Sunder, Hamstring, Sunder, Sunder on the warrior
1 could be /castsequence [target=warrior] reset=combat Renew, PW: Shield,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, on the priest.
1 could be /castsequence [target=party1target] reset=combat ,,, Shadow Word: Pain,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, also on the priest if you want to add a bit of DPS.
So the priest would have two castsequences in the same macro, with comma's so they're never casting with both commands at the same time...
So you get a Renew and PW: Shield prior to combat beginning on the warrior opening attack sequence, ie no threat on the priest at all.

On 8 is maybe Renew. 9 could be Flash Heal. 0 could be big heal. = might be PW: Shield.
The syntax for the priests heals will be:

#show Renew
/assist Warrior
/cast [help] Renew; [target=targettarget, help] Renew

#show Flash Heal
/assist Warrior
/cast [help] Flash Heal; [target=targettarget, help] Flash Heal

#show Heal (or eventually Greater Heal)
/assist Warrior
/cast [help] Heal; [target=targettarget, help] Heal

So when you press a heal key, the priest will assist the warrior.
If the warrior is targeting a friendly, for example a lowbie or ally you're running past, the priest heals that target.
If the priest is targeting a hostile (for example the mob the warrior is fighting) then the heal will be directed at the target of the warrior's target, which will almost always be either the warrior or the priest themself.

The set up keeps you on the warrior all the time.
Pretty much slightly before combat starts you break follow on the priest.
After combat ends you re-start follow on the priest.
Your control is on the warrior's screen almost 100% of the time.
Maybe go onto the priest for buffing, or set up a macro/keybind for it.

You could easily Keybind NumPad 1 and NumPad2 to buff macro's.
NumPad 1 might have the macro /castsequence [target=player] Inner Focus, Power Word: Fortitude, Divine Spirit
NumPad 2 might have the macro /cast [nomod:alt, target=Warrior'sName] Power Word: Fortitude
and Num 2 has a second line also... /cast [mod, target=Warrior's Name] Fear Ward
That way, without ever going onto the priest, you can buff either the priest or warrior with an easy keypress.
Just pick a bar, keybind Num1 and Num2 to two keys on the bar, and place your macro's in those slots.

There are a ton of ways you can set up your macro's and hotkeys.
If your combo is Warrior (melee) and Priest (support), its easiest to set up the priest to be the background partner.
With the /assist Warrior... /cast [target=targettarget, help]... you'd even direct your heal to a DPS that joined your tandem, if they stole threat from your warrior.... So just tank with one, and click the heal when needed.

I will step back and ask what the second poster said.

Why are you dieing? Are the mobs too high level? Is your tank not holding aggro?

Certainly your toon management needs some work. You have all the tools you just to execute it better. Practice makes perfect.

Regarding the issues you are having with your windowed screens

1. are you setting up maximizer with keyclone?
2. The screen locking up might have to do with "focus follows mouse". Under General unclick Focus follow mouse and see if this helps. the downside is you will have to click on the window now to get it to register any keystrokes.

The reason why your priest just spins might have to do with you keeping your movement button down while you switch to the next window. If you hold down say turn left and switch windows the left turn will stay locked on and the toon will spin around until you hit left turn again.

Warrior priest- bad idea. I'd restart with 2 of the same class (shamans! ^.^)

Not to bash the whole "im gunna be a tank with my own healer" idea but it jsut never really works out. Anyways, if you were going to do that you need to do a paladin so you can instance run your lowbies if you get into dual boxing

warrior / priest setup is as good as any. tanking with a dedicated healer is easy and if you want to add in dps accounts on top its also easy to do. controlling 2 + of the same class is also easy but on your "it will never work out" idea have you seen how many people 10 box kara, 4 man heroics ect with a holy trinity setup?

my advice, install omen if you dont have it (omen helps with threat management in an easier to see view than wow interface does), play each class seperatly for an hour or 2 so you learn when each move is useful ect and as said practice makes perfect.

also that staying at the screen border bug i have had as well. all i did was to flick the mouse downwards to the start bar and close keyclone and bring up another instance of it and it seemed to work fine. also if you do intend to reroll make the healer char a NE. then have it stay back and have shadowmeld on a keybind. that way if your warrior cops it you can shadowmeld wait for mobs to move and then ress warrior and that way remove corpse run times. on the staying alive issue.. it might be your macros or when you agro many mobs are you keeping agro or is 1 moving to the priest killing it then no healing left for the warrior? with your macros it looks like you may be out of mana on the priest for healing as buttons you mash as the warrior are being used for the priest dps moves as well.

Your setup should work. I just wonder whether you don't have your Priest kicking in too early. If you die often because the priest took aggro from the Warrior, you might want to just make him DoT, or start DPSing later.

I ran a Fury Warrior + Paladin duet for a while, it was great fun, and I basically never died. Paladin was only healing though.

I've leveled a Warrior Priest combo and had no problem at all.

To be honest I just used to charge in with the Warrior and then play him as usual, while using macro's to simply SW:P then Wand, and also a couple of macro's to throw Renew\Flash\Greater Heals when necessary.

I've found it no trouble at all, especially now Prot has been changed up I had a ton of fun usually going through 3 or 4 mobs at a time, with minimal downtime. Just stock up on + DMG\Healing gear for the priest, and dont worry about any other stats (I never ran out of mana unless I had a mega pull with some adds)

Dont give up yet

is your warrior prot? arms? fury?
is your priest shadow? holy? discipline?

how are you dying? who dies first?
your priest does damage too? then they should die quick anyway.

ARE YOU CLICK CASTING??

ok... your cast sequence kinda... sucks? holy fire is great to open a battle. if youre holy, just smite. if you're shadow, mindblast mindflayx2 mindblast mindflayx2 and on and on. reapply pain when necessary.
and your warrior needs to do more than just... charge and heroic strike. =/
