Delay(latency) from other machines
Greets ladies and gents,
So today is thursday. I've been 2 boxing with 2 computers for a very long time and always wondered about 5 boxing. Last monday i stumbled into this site and i've been reading ever since. This is my first post and hopefully i'm not repeating a thread posted a million times.
Tonight i downloaded Keyclone and installed on it on my main machine. Then created 3 trial accounts + the 2 i already have. I started by setting up 3 accounts. When in game (havent tried any cities yet) i had lots of RAM left to be used (about 1.7k) but my CPU usage was already up to 90% (duo core 2.4 - 4gig RAM). I then added 2 more account and i shot up to 100% and it started beeing choppy. Can't imagine Ironforge...
In any case i realized then that i would need to run a couple account on my old PC. The potential problem im seeing here is the lag between the network and how it will affect in game. I read on another post that one could be looking at 100ms (+/-) added latency. My question is more for the players out there that multi box with multiple machines.
How is this impacting the follow / attacks of you characters? i'm reluctant to give it a go because i cant trial the keyclone and i'm not in the mood of wasting another 20$ if this isnt going to work. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for the reply(ies) if any.
BTW - V that was one hell of a nice turorial video it helped alot. And everyone else out there with tutorials on how to get keyclone setup. Never had the need to post for any questions there is so much information. Going to bed for now but tomorow it's tackling the macros time... I have a headache already hehe.
