Anyone know around the total xp needed to go from 70 to 80?

I am guessing about 15mil xp in all.

Yeah, 70-80 avg about 1.5mil / level. So you hit the nail on the head.

It's not so bad. Every solo kill is like 1k XP instance is like 800 and Quest hand-ins range from 20-~40k.
