If i have a group of lowbies say lvl 40 all in the same group and i have my brother's mage lvl 70 in a group by his self, and i take them all to winterspring or wherever i can get some skulls to the 40s...
Then i run around like a chicken with my head cut off and tag a ton of mobs and the mage kills them all, do the 40s get full xp for the kill or will it only give me xp for the damage i do to the mob?
I can guarentee you, you won't get full xp. This is because the mobs are grey to the mage or something. So yea, you will get a litttle xp depending on the amount of dmg you do.
As valkry mentioned the trick is you will need the mobs to be at least green to the mage and the other problem is you'd also need to be able to tag the skulls first lol

if your brother is good at aoe'ing or you have healers.... boost in instances... its by far the fastest raf xp... i am on my 4th group of 4 toons to 60 and the last group made it to 60 in under a day /played... would have been much faster if i didn't multibox from work with my alts at home (setting up macros etc via a vnc - remote desktop) laggy connection is a pain...
but yah... boost in instances
10-15 VC
15-20 stocks
20-43 SM Arms / Cath
43-45 ZF (could go here earlier but i hate the frogs / healing totems)
45-60 Strathome Undead going towards live side (never open the barons timer gate those mobs aren't groupable)
i know people can quest faster xp/hr in short bursts.. but for consistant long xp imo boosting is by far the fastest way to lvl up if u can handle the mindless repetition.
but to answer your orig question... its two parts the mobs have to at least be green to the mage and they can't be orange to you (for a single tap to give you full xp)
