Somedays you just feel like killing somebody!!!

I tried to logon to one of my accounts today, and guess what i've been hacked :cursing: .

turns out there was a trojan on my system ;(


the B*****ds have taken 30k form my guild bank (my own personal guild) as well as the loss of two of my lvl 58 characters and a lvl 19 hunter. ( the 30k loss was result of me having the daily limit on withdrawals from the bank set at 10k per day for each character).

I'm not so much worried at the character loss, as i can RAF up some more, but the 30k is a hard chunk of cash to lose, and blizzards account fraud dept don't work on weekends. Iv'e sent in a ticket with the last times that the characters where online (as it was shown in my guild control panel - i was asleep at the time) . I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

the sooner Blizzard make available the authenticator for the UK the better.

morale of the story check your system regularly for viruses and spyware.

Tried the same things once, you can get the characters back and the gear, but not the ench you had on items. I dunno about gold, i couldnt get mine back, but when we talk 30k gold maybe they will. Good luck with it m8!

Hope you get your stuff back or most of it. Those loggers are everywhere ;(

the kit was irrelevant (mostly lvl 58 ah greens ready for the winterspring grind) no enchants. the 30k gold is all i'm really worried about as that was part of the cash for my epic mounts for my shammies.

They are available here, I got mine about a week ago and attached it to all my accounts straight away, now I don't have to worry so much :)

The total was somewhere around £15 with delivery, and delivery took about 3-4 days (they come from Germany).

Don't you need one for every account ?

You can hook as many accounts to one as you want. I have 5 setup to use 1.
