I now officially hate Shat-n-Shat City

I hate Shat-n-Shat City..... I HATE IT soooo much... I normally run around 2 - 2.5 Gigs of ram running around... Once Shat-n-Shat City... I jump up to 3.7+ Gigs... computer just freezes... I run all 5 clients on one machine... 2.4Ghz Quad Core (OC 3.15Ghz) 4Gigs (2 x 2GB dual channel) 8800GTS 640MBs.... Maybe I should start using some of my older machines to distrupte the work load... hmm... So anywas.. the main reason I hate it is not just the lag.. but what the lag did to me... Four of my team are Aldor... and one... is Scryer.... Son of .... So how hard is it to convert..? I havent done anything on that character but accpect Scryer... So theres my rant.. :cursing:

Ram is the issue here. I run a quadcore 2.8 with 6gb ram and 5wows. I am about on the borderline as far as RAM distrubution goes (for hanging out in high density areas anyway - everything is liquid except shatt), in fact I'm upping it to 8gb soon to make everything fluid for the 2 clients that share a processor (its usually those guys who break follow cause of video lag)

So ya I would say 4gb is prolly enough for instances and outdoor - but high demand areas need more ram for wow - and in wrath each client will need even more.

thats the boat i'm on too life is great except in shat - i maxed out my mb with 8gb of ram but then found out i have to blow away everything and install vista 64bit before i can utilize it heh so been dragging my feet

I just hit 63 on my 5 box.... I am staring at Shatt and dreading 63-64. I will have to do Adal's minion jaunt around the city quest a few times i think....

I don't get it.
I run a 2.5ghz quadcore and 4gig ram, Shat and other big cities are a cake-walk for me.
Try running your copies on multiple hard-drives, that did it for me.

"Shat-n-Shat City"? Is this a joke I am missing?

Just a thought ..... Possibly a second video card would help alleviate the pain. Not entirely sure how the whole ram and vid ram works but i think if your vid ram is maxed it starts using your reg ram. I think. Not entirely sure maybey one of the tech heads can clarify that.

Why are people saying RAM is the issue? I have 3GBs and I am mostly fine in shatt. I have a bit of lag but I'm SURE thats due to my 8600GT video card, that and my dual core processor. Maybe Vista has more base requirements but jeez...

Don't worry, it will be much worse in Dalaran ;-)
Try and use separate hard drives, or sym link your wow folders if you haven't already maybe

I'll give the hard drive idea a try.. well later when I have the money... My hard drive is the oldest piece of equipment in my computer..

The name is a joke with me and my friends.. I tend to only read the first few letters in a city/place name and make up the rest.. or just say it completely wrong..
