I do not know if I was lucky or what not but I made 4 premade paladins and specced them retribution. Between the repenting people and whirl winding entire groups I felt way superior to the shaman setup. I was also able to heal quite a bit with the new channeled heal retribution gets especially while bubbled. anyone else try 4-5 ret paladins in beta?
I have not tried it myself. With some of the new mechanics in the expac I would imagine boxing melee characters will be even harder then it is now.
why should it matter if its hard to play 4-5 melee when paladins start with a full mana bar charge unlike rogues that have to build up combo points and manipulate with stuns and positioning and warriors that have to build up rage through swings. Ret paladins only have to be in your range that one brief instant to get their attack combo off on you and the top tier retribution attack is an aoe whirlwind of nastiness.
I haven't seen anything that points out meleeboxing will be harder in expansion. If you can get past the general melee-problems, palas are nice.
Poolboy on the chat has levelled4 or 5 palas to 60 and he said it was awesome and fun.
Would you be able to do pve content or is this a pvp group?
