Vetra Switchcaster
Hello All,
I am interested in buying the switchcaster...
For the KM models, the "KM-B-DE" models have push buttons instead of "next PC" selectors. Before I lay out the extra cash for the "DE" model, I want to know if you find this functionality worth the price? Since this is a new product, will I need to purchase any other multicasting related hardware other than the switchcast to link 4 computers and 5 monitors.. I mean...will this one product do the trick or will i need other hardware beyond the Switchcaster

Personally when buying the regular 8 switch (do not have switchcaster) I opted for the cheapest version. I figured the extra $ needed for the direct entry button version was better spent on getting X keys stick to do the exact same job, BUT
the X stick is a small device you can place anywhere on your desk. The switch is a big device with lots of messy cables sticking out of it. The space in reach of hand on desk is at high premium for a multiboxer so the smaller X stick wins big here.

Z,
thanks for the quick reply. I'm kinda leaning that way too. I guess that's why I asked the question the way I did. The extra money isn't a huge deal, but on the other hand I'm not into wasting my money. I do have quite a bit of desk space though.... I use the n52te, chained through my keyboard. My keyboard sits below in a pullout drawer... I rarely use my keyboard for gameplay. I saw the "Ghetto" Footpedal in another thread and that looks doable for switching, since I have at least 10 extra keyboards laying around. Thanks again.
