Fire Lock/Mage Combo Fun

My first post. I used my 70 lock to help powerlevel my mage, hes up to 67 now. They are a really good combo, being both fire spec, improved scorch plus curse of elements is a big 25% damage increase. Its also nice because they are similar classes as far as spells go. Just wanted to share what Im doing mainly because Im bored sitting at work :) The mage is the driver with the lock in tow. Only using Keyclone and macros. Keyclone takes some setting up to dial in, you have to tell it to ignore alot of keypresses (such as movement keys) or you'll find your tow toon doing some weird things. If i need to turn my tow toon in fight I use the arrow keys.

1 key on mage is scorch, on lock its a macro to cycle through COE, immolate, incinerate, incinerate, conflagrate. I also use /assist and /petattack at the beginning of most of my macros. About the time the 5th scorch hits and the debuff is maxed the lock is about to conflagrate and finish his cycle, after which I use my 2 key which is just fire balls on the mage and incinerates on the lock. I really only use the 1 key on elites or bosses, leveling in the field i stick to just to fireballs/incini and anything is dead within 2 casts.

My 3 key is fire blast on the mage and another macro on the lock that starts with shadowburn, then adds COA,corruption and siphons life. I mainly just hit this key once unless somethings behind the lock and I can at least get COA and corruption on the target while I try to reposition.

4 key is Pyro/Soulfire, I also have /use trinket X at the beginning of both of these spells, Im horrible about remembering to pop trinkets so I just leave it and forget it now. When I start pvp'n Ill add the trinket lines to my fireballs and incinerate too. If they are on CD you see the item not ready message, which isnt a big deal once you get used to it.

My 5 key is counterspell, and the lock its only /follow. I just make sure I dont have a target when I hit it, then it re-tags the lock incase I lost him.

6 key is healthstone on both toons, not very efficient cuz it pops both but im goin for as easy mode as possible.

Keys 7 through = on the mage are blank because I use them for the lock. 7 is deathcoil, 8 is fear, 9 is howl of terror, 0 is insignia horde. I cant remember what my other 2 keys are at the moment. All the macros 7+ on the lock start with /assist and end with /follow cmd, to make sure he's on me still.

My top bar on the mage has my trinket, poly, AE spells which I click all by hand. Im sure theres better ways to do what Im doing, but Im just getting started and its working good for me for now, I change things as I evolve. I dont want to get too tricky with how much Im controlling such as alt modifier mods, cuz Im just too danm old and dont have the coordination or mental capacity for that anymore :) I know I'd be better off using shift or alt mods on just 1-5 but.... I cant do it!

It's alot of fun boxing. I feel kinda like Im one character, a mage with whopper nukes and fear :) Any comments or suggestions would be cool! Bye fer now!
